The scent seemed off
He hesitated for a moment but took a small sip. As soon as the coffee touched his tongue, he put the cup down and said. “Have het make it again”

Sherry received the message and became a bit anxious.
“Make it again? Was it too sweet or the flavor wrong? I followed Maggie’s steps exactly, and the amount of sugar was correct. It shouldn’t have been a problem.”
Tm not sure.” Chad said, not offering much help.
Sherry had to make another cup. She was nervous, and this time, Franklin didn’t try to taste it but only smelled it and put it down immediately, asking Chad, “What’s going on here?”
“Secretary Sherry may be nervous since it’s her first time making coffee for you. She probably didn’t get the right
temperature.”
Franklin frowned. “Secretary Sherry? What about Maggie?”
Chad froze. “Maggie has already left the company. Didn’t you know?”
Tranklin fell silent.
He hadn’t known
Earlier, he had been aware that Maggie’s attitude had caused some dissatisfaction with Chad, and Chad had wanted to dismiss her, but he didn’t realize she had actually left.
“When did she leave?
“Last Thursday.”

Her coeagues from the same department saw her and greeted her politely, but there was no warmth in their attit
Maggie didn’t mind.
After lunch, she returned to work, focusing on the tasks at hand.
Around 5 PM. she approached Simon and said. “I’ve almost finished. Can you take a look?”
“What?” Simon was momentarily confused. As he looked at the content Maggie sent, he was initially baffled. But as he continued to read, his eyes widened in disbelief.

This was the work that Yale had taken over ten days to complete! And now, Maggie had understood everything and finished it all in just one day?
Maggie nodded. “Mm.”
Simon was stunned, unable to speak for a moment.
Then, he realized not only had Maggie completed the work excellently, but her input also provided him with fresh perspectives for his next tasks–ideas he hadn’t even considered before!
Others around them gathered after hearing the conversation, and once they understood what had happened, they were also

Regaining his composure, Simon looked at Maggie with disbelief. “You… you’re really a graduate student?”
Maggie paused, then answered truthfully, “I didn’t attend graduate school.”

“Why didn’t you go for graduate school? Was there some difficulty at home?”
But looking at Maggie, she didn’t seem like someone who couldn’t afford tuition.

Maggie lowered her gaze and smiled faintly. “No, just some personal reasons.” She added, “Maybe in the future. I’ll consider further studies if the opportunity arises.”
After chatting for a while and helping a few colleagues with work problems, Maggie left the company, and by the time she stepped out, it was nearly 7 PM.
She walked out of the office only to find Johnny standing by the door. “You’ve cleared up everyone’s doubts on your first day and earned their recognition. As expected of you.”
