Franklin didn’t answer immediately and instead asked, “Do you want to have lunch with Dad, or with your mom and the others?”
Isabella was a little confused. “Huh? Aren’t we having lunch together?”
Franklin replied, “Mm, but I have something to take care of.”
Maggie and Hugo heard what Franklin said but didn’t comment.
Franklin ruffled Isabella’s hair and said, “No rush. Let’s ski first. We can think about lunch afterward.”
“Okay!”
The three kids were chatting not far away. Maggie put on her ski goggles and looked over at Franklin. “Has the divorce not been finalized yet?”
Franklin nodded. “Not yet.”
After a brief pause, he added, “If you need money, I can transfer some to your account.”
Maggie was about to respond but before she could, Isabella called her from afar. “Mom, hurry up!”
Maggie didn’t say anything further. Just then, her phone rang–it was a call from Jason.
He said, “Someone from Frank just contacted me, saying they want to discuss a potential collaboration.”
Wilson Group was now under Franklin’s control. After years of experience, Jason knew that Franklin wouldn’t help him without a reason.
He called to ask Maggie about the situation–he wanted to understand why Franklin was reaching out and whether there was any hidden agenda in the project, wondering if he should take it on.
Maggie didn’t respond immediately. After hanging up, she glanced at Franklin.
Maggie turned to Franklin and said, “My uncle mentioned that someone from Wilson contacted him,
wanting to collaborate on a project.”
Franklin was about to speak, but Maggie cut him off. “I know you’re probably trying to repay me and my grandmother for helping you with Grandma, but we didn’t come to the hospital because of you. As for the

She knew that if they did business with Wilson, the Brown family and the Green family would definitely cause trouble.
Even if Franklin truly wanted to thank her and her grandmother, offering her uncle the project would be a way to fulfill that. But she also knew that the person Franklin loved was Julia.
If Franklin softened one day and used this favor to manipulate her, it would become their weakness. The consequences would ultimately fall on the Miller family.
She didn’t want his project, and she didn’t trust his motivations.
With a cold tone, she added, “You don’t need to worry. After the divorce, we’ll go our separate ways. I won’t cling to you anymore.”
In her mind, this was just another way for Franklin to draw a clear line between them. He was afraid she
would cling to him, but she had already decided not to.
Franklin listened to her, and after a few seconds of silence, he finally said, “Okay.”
Maggie didn’t respond, instead taking out her phone and dialing her uncle, Jason, to convey her decision. After hanging up, she and the kids went skiing. The day went smoothly, and there were no unexpected
incidents.
However, most of the time, Maggie was talking to Xavier, Hugo, and Isabella. As for Franklin, unless necessary, they rarely spoke. Franklin also didn’t initiate any conversation.
Around noon, Franklin turned to Maggie and said he had to leave for a bit. Maggiei simply replied,
“Okay.”
He then turned to Isabella and asked, “Isabella, you-”
“I’m going to watch a movie with Mom and the others!” Isabella interrupted.
This wasn’t something Maggie had promised, but Hugo and Xavier had wanted to go watch a movie, and the three kids had made the plan together before telling her.
Franklin nodded. “Alright.”
He gave Maggie a brief nod before turning to leave.
After Franklin had been gone for about ten minutes, Maggie’s phone rang. It was her divorce lawyer,

He said, “I just received a call from Franklin. He mentioned that he’s preparing a new divorce agreement today, which will differ from the previous one in terms of asset division.
He plans to give you two or three more properties, each worth over a hundred million.”
Maggie’s face remained expressionless as she listened. Franklin’s actions indicated that he didn’t trust her words earlier, and he probably thought she would continue to cling to him.
The extra properties were meant to put his mind at ease, but she didn’t need his things.
“Okay, I understand. I have no objections. You can handle the rest,” she replied flatly.
Meanwhile, at the Restaurant.
Franklin arrived at the restaurant not long after leaving the ski resort, accompanied by Julia. The private room was already filled with people from the Green family and the Brown family, as well as others.
As soon as Franklin and Julia entered, the room erupted into smiles and greetings. Julia sat next to her
aunt, Tracy.
Franklin took a seat and began chatting with two CEOS, and the others in the room.
Tracy leaned close to Julia and whispered, “Mag, I just heard from your uncle and the others that Frank is giving a project from Wilson to the Miller family!”
Julia replied calmly, “I already know about it.”
Tracy grew anxious. “I heard that over the past few days, Frank and Maggie, even other members of the Miller family, have been getting very close.
Someone saw Frank having a meal with Miller’s old lady yesterday. Do you think they might be rekindling old feelings?”
“They never had any feelings to begin with. What’s there to rekindle?” Julia answered indifferently, though she didn’t like the way Tracy phrased it.
Seeing Tracy getting worked up, Julia explained, “Grandmother Wilson and the Miller family have a good relationship.
Frank needs to keep Maggie and the old lady on good terms with Grandma Wilson so that they won’t use the threat of not having surgery as leverage to force him to break up with me.”
