Chapter 66: Finally Rescued
Belmy Red Peak Mountain.
Charlotte was sitting alone in the middle of a flat piece of land.
That’s right, she wasn’t injured but didn’t have any major problems.
The only problem was that she didn’t have a cell phone or any other communication device with her.
So, she had no way of contacting anyone,
now the car crashed down the cliff and she had no choice but to smash out the window…
Then she got out of the car and leaped over there with a vertical jump,
What she didn’t expect was that she was surrounded by a circular swamp,
Only the flat land in the center was safe, surrounded by a seemingly endless swamp,
Once you set foot in it, you would sink endlessly to your death.
The surrounding area was empty. There were no trees or rocks, and she had nothing to rely on…
So, there was no way to leave.
The sky was now turning into complete darkness.
A few sparse and incomparably bright stars could be seen in the silent and dark night sky.
But Charlotte was not in the mood to enjoy such a beautiful view.
All she could do now was wait.
She knew that someone would come to help her.
The people on the Red Peak Mountain might help her call the police. Arnold might rush over when she got the news, and maybe Max…

Charlotte didn’t think she would have a day when she would be so troubled.
Not far away in the mountain forest, the faint howling of wild animals could be heard.
In this empty environment, it seemed extraordinarily clear.
Suddenly…
She heard the sound of a helicopter propeller.
The sound came closer and closer until it was almost directly over her head.
“Malam!” The helicopter’s hatch opened, and Lance saw Charlotte in the middle of the flat ground and called out to her.
She lifted her head and couldn’t help the corners of her lips turning up slightly when she saw Lance’s face.
She was very happy.
Not because she was about to be rescued.

Charlotte was picked up by the helicopter and Lance looked at her with a surprised expression. “Ma’am, are you okay?”
It would be a blessing in disguise surviving driving a car and falling off such a high cliff, but Charlotte surprisingly didn’t have a single trace of injury on her body.
She smiled and replied weakly. “Maybe it was luck.”
The helicopter roared away from Red Peak.
After leaving, Karl stumbled alone to the place where Charlotte had stopped.
He couldn’t help but stop in his tracks at the sight of this vast swamp in front of him.
The young man’s white shirt was soaked with sweat, and his feet were covered in dirty mud.
He was panting a bit tiredly, and as he looked at this empty mountain forest, his complexion flashed with a faint despondency.
At the Greenside Garden.
Charlotte followed Lance through the gate.
Unexpectedly, Max was waiting for her in the hall.
Lance left without noticing, leaving only the two of them in there.
Max was sitting in his wheelchair and looked at Charlotte with a meager expression.
Seeing that she was unharmed, the man’s tense eyebrows relaxed a bit.
However, he was still uncomfortable as he spoke, “Are you injured anywhere?”
Charlotte wanted to say “no,” but the words were swallowed back.
How could she say no?
“There is…” Charlotte answered slowly.
Hearing her say that, Max’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. “Where are you hurt?”
She stepped forward and showed him a spot of blood on the back of her hand. “Here.”
This was nothing more than a small wound for her.
She wasn’t a pretentious person.
But this was a good opportunity to make Max feel sorry for her.
