When I saw Ryan proudly presenting the baby toys anul supplies, it suddenly reminded me of something
Back when I was pregnant with my first child, he had custom ordered similar items.
After my miscarriage, they became meaningless.
In his anger at me, Ryan smashed them into pieces.
Linda stormed in and wrestled with Ryan, trying to tear the property transfer certificate out of his hands.

Ethan kicked one of the attackers and glared at him coldly.
Twas… Linda,” the man stammered, begging for mercy. “She said she had to make sure her child would be the company’s only heir. She sent attack you.”

I didn’t want him to see such an ugly scene.
I called Ryan. For the first time over, he answered almost immediately.

I watched him disappear into the distance and smiled coldly.

A month later. I received a call from an unknown number.
“Sophia, I’ve had a boy!” Linda’s voice was sweet and smag. “New Ryan’s company has its rightful heir,”
I couldn’t help but laugh mockingly. It seemed Linda didn’t know what had happened to Ryan’s company in the past month.
After I left the company and gave up on taking over, Ryan made a complete mess of things.
My father withdrew his investments, and stocks were sold off in bulk.

Staying composed, I replied cheerfully, “I wish you and Ryan a lifetime of happiness. If you can make it, that is.”
After hanging up, I looked at the thick stack of documents in my hands and chuckled.
“Sophia,” my lawyer had said, “these are Linda’s pregnancy records. They were left in the hospital trash. The child is very likely not Ryan’s.”
Ryan had a known fertility issue; it was only because of my own high fertility that I had been able to conceive his child.
My pregnancy had been difficult, causing severe nausea and hair loss.
Yet Linda seened perfectly healthy, never showing any signs of pregnancy struggles
