I don’t wait for her to finish her question, “No. I have to go Jules, I am running on a tight schedule. I will see you around.” I say, even though she doesn’t live in the city and there is no way am going back to that town.

I decide to take Candace so I open the car and carry her out of her car seat. I hold her hand wee both turn to face Jules who is staring at her with a thoughtful expression.

They are not very high but I am more of a converse girl. After getting fired years ago, I developed a taste for flat shoes due to unemployment.

“Yes ma’am.” he says and starts the car. I turn to Candace who is mumbling something to her toy, “You are getting new clothes Dace.” I whisper excitedly.
I was going to get her clothes later with the credit card, I figured Aaron would complain about it and let it go. I did not know he already made a preparation for her too.
I glance at her little dress, it’s beautiful but it’s clear to anyone it is not made from quality material.
The same goes for all her clothes. I kiss her head and she blinks at me, then continues playing with her toy.

He waves at Candace who cagerly waves back. I make eye contact with Renee as soon as I enter the apartment building.
