Tanya frowned at her family’s obsequiousness. She and Zark were friends, equals; their behavior was inappropriate. She couldn’t say anything publicly, though.

After giving the Suns their gifts, they asked Tanya, “Where’s Chase? Has he arrived yet?” Tanya explained,“He had some business issues overseas. He’s been working late these past few days and hasn’t fully resolved things yet. He’ll be late.”
