It was late. Although everyone wanted to keep working, overworking wasn’t good. Mark planned to finish the remaining tasks and end the meeting, continuing later or the next day. Even wrapping things up would take a while. Chase had finished showering and emerged from the bathroom, yet they were still working. 

He didn’t interrupt her. Then Sam arrived.

Sam relaxed.“Okay. You should rest early too, Mom.”

Sam hugged her mother before happily leaving.
