I received a call three days before the
wedding. It was an unknown number. I
recognized Grant’s voice the second I
answered. I decided to hang up, but he
stopped me.
“Rosie, please don’t hang up… I know
I upset you. Tell me where you are, I’ll
come to you.”
His voice was gentle, trying to
convince me that he was apologizing.
Then, another guy’s voice rang
out, “Honey, who’s calling? It’s been a
while.”
That was like a thunderbolt to Grant.
I answered, “No one. Doesn’t matter.”
Grant felt like his world was ending.
He didn’t hear anything after that.
He recalled the number he had seen
on my phone the last time. It was tagged”
my husband“. Wanda said it was Rosie’s
friend, but it turned out that it was a guy.
He was furious but helpless. He was
blocked.
He didn’t agree to the breakup, how
could I marry someone else?
He asked my friend about my address,
and then his phone rang. It was Wanda.
He decided to see Wanda first. He
still believed that it was not too late. Sadly,
he was completely wrong.
