Rylee was pregnant? Serenity didn’t know how she got back to the mansion.
Only the faint glow of her phone screen illuminated the darkness. Rylee’s
message came again. It was a pregnancy test and a link.
“I’m pregnant! It’s been three months. The father is so happy! I’m going to go
live with his and celebrate it with my fans. Join us if you’re happy for us!”
Serenity’s fingers trembled. She clicked the link. Rylee, in a maternity dress,
was sharing her joy. The comments were filled with congratulations. Then, a
hand similar to Jax’s appeared. That hand had kissed Serenity, held her, wiped
away her tears, placed a ring on her finger… now it was caressing Rylee’s belly.
Jax’s low voice sounded. “Even if you don’t rest, the baby must rest. Be good
and go to bed, sweetheart.”

The viewers were excited, begging Jax to show his face. A comment popped

It was quickly swamped. Rylee giggled, holding Jax’s hand. “He doesn’t like
being in the spotlight. Guys, I’m sorry.”
Rylee’s fans asked how she and her boyfriend got together. Rylee looked at
Jax, then smiled.
“He’s amazing! He rehearsed a dozen times to tell me he loved me in high

school. His rehearsal didn’t help much, but I agreed to be with him anyway.”
The fans gushed. Serenity felt a pang of sadness. That was her story with Jax.
A tear fell on the screen. Rylee announced she was turning it off but her
fans protested. Rylee glanced at Jax.“Well, my boyfriend wants some… alone time
with me.”
The fans screamed, saying that they wanted to be a part of it. Rylee hesitated.
Jax switched off the stream. Then, everyone heard a gasp.“Oh, baby!”
Serenity’s hands clenched. Jax and Rylee’s intimate murmurs filtered
through the screen, stabbing her heart.
