Rylee slipped some cash into a waiter’s pocket, then sat down next to Jax, a
seductive smile playing on her lips. A collective gasp went through the crowd.
“Is she crazy? Sitting next to Jax?”
“Doesn’t she know Jax could get her blacklisted?”
“Shhh! She’s got connections. Didn’t you see her room full of designer
jewelry and purses when she went live?”
Serenity wanted to look away, but then she saw Rylee put Jax’s hand under
her skirt. He froze, trying to pull away, but Rylee held his hand and rubbed it
with her finger. Jax gave up.
Serenity turned her head sharply, clenching her hands.
She was absent–minded during the rest of the auction until the closing
item came up. A gasp rippled through the room. A breathtaking diamond ring lay
on velvet. The auctioneer described its history- rumored to have belonged to
Queen Elizabeth, a symbol of undying love.
Noticing Serenity was interested, Jax bid without hesitation.
“Twenty million!”

He turned his head. It was Rylee. “Sorry, Mr. Landry. My boyfriend loves me
so much that he wants to send it to me!”
Jax’s face hardened.“Sixty million!”
“One hundred million!”
“One hundred and fifty million!”
Finally, Jax made a gesture. The auctioneer slammed the gavel.
“A record bid! Mr. Landry wins the ring True Love!”
Amidst the applause, Jax calmly withdrew his hand, kissing Serenity.
“Wait for me here. I’ll get the ring.”
Serenity watched his back; Rylee gave her a meaningful smile before leaving.
Serenity let out a shaky breath, then got up. Her phone screen showed a message:
Meet me at the parking garage.
The empty garage held only one Maybach. The car was shaking slightly.
Muffled sounds of passion reached Serenity’s ears. The backseat door was wide
open, and the two people inside were completely naked and entangled.

“Be gentle… Master… It’s too much…”
Jax’s voice was rough.“Isn’t it what you want? Take it.”
He grunted, pulling her closer.
