Chapter 18
In the days that followed, Ponto Spencer spared no effort in pestering me. Every day, he hounded me, calling me almost every few minutes, phone numbers faster than I could block them.
My inbox was flooded with his emails. Finally, unable to reach me by any other means, he even showed up outside my company, holding a banner and shouting through a megaphone.
While I wanted to see Ponto Spencer’s downfall, that didn’t mean I wanted to be tormented every day.
To escape from both Ponto and Fenny, I decided to take a vacation abroad. I didn’t return until a year later, and when I came back, I couldn’t avoid hearing about Ponto’s fate.
Foto Spencer had visited my home multiple times.
Though the butler said I wasn’t in, he didn’t believe it and even knelt outside my door for days, begging me to remarry him. He promised that if I agreed, he would be a good, obedient son–in–law.
He even said it didn’t matter if I didn’t want children–he was fine with adopting.
But in the end, he never got the chance to speak with me. Instead, he was arrested by the police for disturbing the peace and spent half a month in jail After he was released, my family “visited” him a few times, and he became more compliant. He didn’t dare to harass me anymore.
I heard he ended up owing around twenty billion, and it seemed there was no hope of him bouncing back. Fenny had tried countless times to divorce him, but Ponto Spencer would never agree.
Without money, he became even more violent, regularly abusing her. I heard she had miscarried several times because of his beatings.
I also heard that, desperate for money, he had even forced Fenny to sell her body to support him. I don’t know how long she could tolerate such a life. but all of this was their own doing. It had nothing to do with me.
