there’s no need for her to do it again.”

I nodded, a smirk playing on my lips. “Right, so you don’t even have fifty million, do you? Do you think that just because you’re wearing a few fancy watches and jewelry, you can waltz in and look at a villa?”
“I’ll tell you this–when it comes to viewing property, it’s about the money, not the clothes, Look at me, dressed so plainly, and I can still come and look at a house. On the other hand, you two can’t even get in.”
James was about to explode from the anger
but without thinking, he pulled out a lottery ticket from his pocket..
The ticket was encased in plastic, and he held it up as though presenting a holy decree. “Ethan, right? Call your manager out and let them see if this is enough to buy your property.”
This was the first time Ethan had encountered someone trying to use a lottery ticket as proof of funds, but she apologized politely and asked for my approval before rushing off to get the manager.
The manager arrived and was very professional. Without skipping a heat, he first apologized to Ethan. “Sir, I’m Ethan’s manager, Mike. Please allow me to explain. Our property has a rule requiring asset verification. Normally, we would check bank accounts, but Ethan mentioned that you have a lottery ticket worth three hundred million, so we thought we could make an exception. If you could show us the ticket, we can register you and take you to view the property.”
James wouldn’t let Ethan or Mike touch the ticket, only letting them glance at it.

After examining the ticket, Mike quickly pulled out his phone to double check. After a moment, he smiled and said, “Sir, your ticket is real, but it hasn’t won. Therefore, we can’t use it as proof of funds to show you the property. Could you provide another form of proof?”
“What?”
All three of them exclaimed at the same time, their faces turning as
white as a sheet.
