Public opinion quickly turned against me online, condemning me as a heartless, scheming‘

I clicked through those old photos again and again. The images of someone I once gave my heart to during my youthful years.
The past now felt so foreign to me.
Just then, Ethan called, but it was his mother’s voice that filled my ears. “Yvonne, five million. Give me five million and I’ll stop. Otherwise, you’ll regret it!”
