Chapter 9
Chapter 9
I first opened the “Loving Family (No Annoying People)” group chat.
Aunt: “That bitch is out of control, talking to me like that! Cindy, aren’t you going to do something?”
econd Aunt: “Exactly! Raised in some backwater town, of course, she lacks manners!”
Eldest Aunt: “We should get together sometime and teach her a lesson. She won’t know pain until someone slaps her face!”
Cindy: “What can I even do? Ethan always sides with her. He’s forgotten his own mother.”
Cindy: “I cook and serve every day, and I still have to put up with Yvonne’s attitude. Life is so hard!”
Aunt: “You’re the most pathetic of us all, letting that bitch walk all over you.”
Aunt: “If you ask me, just drag her out and give her a good beating. That’ll teach her!”
Cousin: “She bullies my mom? Wait ‘til I show her a thing or two!”
Aunt: “Good boy, I’m so lucky to have you!”
Aunt: “Hey Cindy, don’t buy her that car! She’s practically begging for it with such entitlement!”
Cindy: “Ugh, I really don’t have the money. Marrying her off already drained our savings. I honestly can’t afford to buy her a car.”
Second Aunt: “How much did she demand for the wedding?”
Cindy: “The bride price was 280,000 dollars, and I spent another 80,000 on gifts. Altogether, the wedding cost nearly 500,000. You all know her family’s poor, and they sold her off to make money. They took every penny of the bride price and didn’t give a single penny for the dowry. You better be careful when picking daughters–in–law in the future.”
Aunt: “Tsk tsk, if you ask me, just divorce her and have Ethan find someone else.”
Chapter 9
Second Aunt: “Yeah, Ethan’s so great. He could have anyone he wants.”
Eldest Aunt: “He could still find a young, unmarried girl, no problem.”
Eldest Aunt: “I heard Ethan’s project is worth billions now?”
Cindy: “Yep, Ethan’s too sentimental. I told him from the start her family’s poor, I didn’t agree to the marriage, but he insisted. Now look at the mess. She’s a bottomless pit!”
indy: “What’s the point of him earning so much? Yvonne’s just taking it all and giving it to her family.”
Reading through this, especially my mother–in–law’s lies, I could feel my anger rising to a boiling point.
I had to keep telling myself to calm down. If I got sick from this, no one would take care of
- me.
Silently, I pulled out my phone and recorded the entire chat from beginning to end.
Then I opened the “Close–Knit Family of Four” chat.
I was shocked to see how filthy their minds were.
