Chapter 6
Jane: “You bitch! You little slut!”
May: “Yvonne, delete that message right now! Show some respect for your elders!”
Linda: “You’ve been to college, how could you say such horrible things? @Yvonne”
Cindy: “How dare you talk like that in the family group chat! Didn’t your mother teach you
any manners? @Yvonne“.
I replied, “I respect people, not animals. @ May”
“Don’t try to guilt–trip me with this moral high ground nonsense. I have no morals to speak
- of. @ Linda”
“Oh, Cindy, how did your mom teach you? To cheat, lie, and manipulate? @Cindy”
Ethan: “Yvonne, stop it! Let’s talk about this when I get back, okay?”
I fired back. “Oh, you’re alive? You’ve been ignoring my calls and texts for days. I thought you were dead somewhere in a ditch.”
Ethan: “I was busy! Please, let’s not do this.”
I snapped, “Busy doing what? Playing dead? Well, stay dead then. Stop trying to come back
to life and drag me into your mess!”
I hung up on his repeated calls and switched my phone to airplane mode.
Ethan had always been a mama’s boy, and I had known that for a while.
I just didn’t want to face it.
Back when we were planning the wedding. Ethan had his own ideas. As soon
as Cindy and Samuel laid out their plans, Ethan didn’t say a word. He just let them take charge.
It was the same with the car. His parents didn’t approve, so he backed down.

Asshole Husband Mistakenly Hu me to Miscarriage
Chapter 6.
We’d once discussed what we would do if there was ever a conflict between our parents
and us.
I said I would look at who was right
or wrong.
If it was my parents‘ fault, I would confront them and make sure they apologized.
Ethan, on the other hand, gently held me and said, “Silly girl, I’d never put you in a position where you’d have to go against your parents. Even if they’re wrong, they’re still our elders.”
ye can’t go against them…”
Back then, in my love–drunk mind, I thought it was sweet how gentle and devoted he was.
Now, it felt like I had made a huge mistake!
Well, I guess I’ll wait until Ethan comes back and see how he handles it.
As Cindy, Samuel, and Emily stared at me with wide eyes, I casually walked back into my room and slammed the door.
I pressed my ear to the door, listening.
As expected, they immediately lowered their voices and began discussing their next move,
The living room filled with the constant sound of message notifications.
I turned my phone back on, connected to Wi–Fi, and saw… nothing.
Apparently, their private family group chat was buzzing with activity.
I’m sure they were cooking up something behind my back.
By the time Ethan finally came home, he was carrying a giant bouquet of roses, as usual.
As I watched his lips move, sweet–talking me about how much he missed me, I felt nothing but irritation.
“Cut the crap. Get to the point,” I said..
