After absorbing this energy, I felt that all my ailments were eliminated. My dry and withered hair became lustrous again, and my gaunt and yellow face became rosy and full.

With those words, the Moon Goddess disappeared from my side.
Branwen came to my side at some point, he stood not far from the top floor and looked at me angrily.

Three years had passed since I left the Snow Teeth Pack, and as the black Ferrari pulled into the familiar driveway, I couldn’t help but feel a storm of emotions swirling inside me. The memories of pain, betrayal, and loss resurfaced, but so did a fierce determination I’d buried deep within myself.
This place had broken my heart, and yet, it was time to return–time to confront the past, for both my daughters and for me.
I watched through the window as the snow–covered landscape flashed by, the wind whipping against the trees.
The quiet beauty of the pack lands was undeniable, but it no longer felt like home. The familiar ache of loss had hollowed that place out for me.
Yet, Joanne and Joey, my beautiful daughters, looked out the window with wide eyes, brimming with excitement.
As soon as the car came to a halt, they couldn’t contain their energy. With no hesitation, they scrambled out of the car and rushed toward the front yard.
Their laughter and high–pitched chatter filled the air. “Slow down” I shouted after them, concern rising in my chest. “Be careful!” I called again, watching them run off without a care.
It was then that the screeching of tires sliced through the air.
My heart leaped into my throat as I saw a car speeding down the main road, heading straight toward my daughters,
Time seemed to slow as I watched the vehicle grow closer.
It was a matter of seconds before disaster struck–before it would be too late. But somehow, just centimeters away from them, the car screeched to a halt, the tires smoking against the pavement.
Joanne and Joey froze in shock. They fell to the ground, their small bodies trembling with fear. I rushed to their side, my heart pounding in my chest. “Are you alright?” I asked, my voice trembling as I helped them to their feet.
Before I could fully gather my composure, the car’s door opened, and a figure stepped out. My breath caught in my throat as I recognized him. Silas, The very last person I had expected to see today. After all these years, there he was–standing before me, looking as tired as I had ever seen him, his face drawn with weariness. It was clear that whatever had transpired between him and Lena had not brought him the peace he had hoped for.
He stepped forward, his eyes scanning my daughters in a panic. “Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice hoarse, though laced with genuine concern. He moved toward them, but when his gaze fell upon their faces, his body froze.
His mouth hung open as his eyes widened in disbelief. “Joanne? Joey? Is that really you? How did you–how are you alive?”

I could see the sheer shock on his face, the disbelief written across every inch of his expression. It was almost as if he’d seen a ghost.
I watched him as he took an instinctive step forward, hands reaching out to pull them into his arms. But Joanne and Joey weren’t having any of it. The moment they saw him move toward them, they recoiled, eyes wide with suspicion.
“Mom!” Joanne exclaimed, her voice frantic, grabbing my hand as she stepped back with her sister.
I moved closer to them, gently wrapping my arm around their shoulders, my voice calm but firm as I addressed Silas.
“I’m sorry, sir, my daughters were being naughty. They were running around carelessly, and we’re fortunate they didn’t get into an accident just now.”
He blinked, his body still frozen in shock, but he managed to stammer, “It’s it’s fine. I didn’t mean to…”
Silas looked up at me, and in the next second, a huge shock surfaced in his eyes.
He entire body stiffened, and his eyes locked onto me. Rowena is that really you?” His voice trembled as though he couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing.
