Lena POV
There was a certain dullness to the room that I hadn’t seen before.
The once, grand furniture had been replaced with smaller, more practical pieces. It wasn’t what I had expected at all.
Silas was seated at his desk, working on some paperwork.
His expression was focused, his brow furrowed as he concentrated. When he saw me, though, his face softened slightly, but it was clear he hadn’t expected me.
What are you doing here?” he asked, his voice a little cold, but I could hear the hint of concern in it.
“I came to talk,” I said, my voice firm. “What’s going on, Silas? Why is your office like this? Why does everything feel so different?”
He sighed and leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples as though he had a headache. “Lorelei helped me,” he said slowly. “She convinced Alpha King to understand my situation. It wasn’t easy, and it cost a lot of money.”
I couldn’t hide the shock on my face. “Money? What do you mean? You spent all that money just to convince Alpha King?”
Silas nodded, his gaze dropping to the papers in front of him.
“Yes, it was the only way. But… it’s not like before. Evans Group isn’t as rich as it used to be. We’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices.”
I felt my blood start to boil. “You’re telling me that Lorelei took your money?
She’s the one who’s been draining you dry, Silas! You’ve been tricked!”
Silas’s face darkened at my words. His eyes turned cold, and I could feel the tension rising in the room.
“Don’t talk bad about Lorelei,” he warned me sternly. “She’s the reason I’m still here. She’s my savior.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Silas, the man I had trusted, was blind to what Lorelei really was.
She had manipulated him, used him to get what she wanted, and yet he couldn’t see it. My anger grew, but I knew I had to get the truth through to him.

I pulled out the photo of Lorelei and Branwen hugging and placed it on his desk.
“Look at this, Silas,” I said, my voice steady but filled with emotion. “This is proof. Lorelei betrayed you. She was with Branwen, and you think she’s
innocent?”
Silas glanced at the photo, his expression unreadable. After a long moment, he shook his head.
“Lorelei and Branwen are siblings,” he said, his voice firm. “And that picture… it doesn’t show what you think it does. Lorelei doesn’t look good in it, and Branwen was just helping her. That’s all.”
I stared at him in disbelief. “What if they aren’t siblings, Silas? What if Lorelei and Branwen aren’t related at all?”
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “What are you talking about, Lena?”
I took a deep breath. I had to tell him the truth, even if he didn’t want to hear it. “Lorelei is Rowena,” I said quietly but firmly.
“I’ve looked into it, and I’ve figured it out. We’ve all been lied to. Lorelei isn’t who she says she is. She’s Rowena, and she’s been pretending this whole
time.”
For a moment, there was silence. Silas stared at me as if I had just spoken in another language.
Then, without warning, he slammed his hand down on the desk, making the papers shake. He stood up quickly, his face red with anger.
“No!” he shouted. “Rowena is dead! Don’t bring her up again, Lena.
Stop trying to create drama where there is none!”

His obra shocked me, but I didn’t back down. I had to make him see reason.
“Silas, listen to me. This isn’t drama. Lorelei is Rowena. You have to believe me. I know what I’m talking about!”
He didn’t let me finish. Without even giving me a chance to explain further, he turned away and waved his hand dismissively. “Enough! I won’t listen to this nonsense anymore.”
I stood there, stunned, as Silas stormed toward the door. “Get out of my office, Lena,” he ordered coldly. “Now.”
I opened my mouth to argue, but he didn’t even give me a chance.
He called for one of his assistants, and before I knew it, a couple of security guards had entered the room.
You’re not welcome here anymore,” Silas said, his voice sharp and final. “Leave.”
heart pounded in my chest as I looked at him one last tim. How could he not see it? How could he be so blind? But there was nothing I could do.
The guards stepped forward and started to usher me out of the office
I wanted to fight back, to shout at Silas, but I knew it wouldn’t change anything. He had already made up his mind.
