As soon as they left the room, I wasted no time. I picked up the phone and called the restaurant, reserving a table that was close enough to theirs so I could keep an eye on them.
My heart was pounding, but it wasn’t because I was nervous–it was excitement.
I could already picture how tonight would unfold.
I was going to make sure Lena remembered exactly where she stood, and I couldn’t wait to see the look on her face.
By six o’clock, I was completely ready. I had taken a long shower, letting the warm water relax me, and then carefully applied my favorite perfume–a
ent that was soft yet captivating.
I kept my makeup light but flattering, just enough to highlight my best features without making it look too much.
Finally, I chose the perfect dress: a deep crimson gown that fit me like a glove, accentuating my curves.
The dress had a daring slit that ran up one leg, showing just enough to grab attention without being too bold. I glanced in the mirror one last time, feeling confident and prepared for what was to come.
As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I could feel the change in the room.
People turned to look at me, and conversations instantly stopped. I couldn’t help but enjoy the attention–it was exactly what I wanted.
With every step I took, I felt my confidence grow, and soon, I caught Lena’s eye.
Her expression changed instantly, and I could see the shock in her face as she recognized me.
Her face was a mix of shock and fear, and it was absolutely priceless.
Her hand tightened around her wine glass so much that, for a moment, I thought she might actually break it.
I met her wide–eyed gaze, gave her a sly, knowing smile, and walked past her table slowly, making sure she noticed every step.
“Lena?” Silas asked, raising an eyebrow as he noticed her stiffened posture. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing!” she said quickly, her voice strained. She leaned forward, blocking Silas’s view with her body. “Just… just focus on dinner, okay?”
I found my table and sat down, acting as if I hadn’t noticed the tension I’d created.
I picked up the menu, pretending to focus on it, but from the corner of my eye, I kept an eye on Lena.
It was clear she couldn’t relax. She kept shifting in her seat, her hands nervously playing with her utensils.
She would pick up her fork, set it down again, and barely touched the food in front of her. The more restless she became, the more satisfied I felt.
Eventually, she couldn’t take it anymore. “Excuse me for a moment,” she muttered to Silas before rushing off toward me.
I didn’t look up as she approached, but the clack of her heels on the tiled floor was unmistakable. She stopped beside my table, her voice low but
venomous.
“Lorelei, what are you doing here?” she hissed.
I blinked innocently, setting my fork down. “I’m having dinner, obviously. Why else would I be at a restaurant?”
“Don’t act innocent,” she snapped, leaning in closer with a fierce look in her eyes. Her voice was sharp now, almost frantic.
“You can’t let Silas see you! Do you understand?” She said it like she was warning me, her panic clear in every
word.
“Why not?” I asked, tilting my head as if the idea had never crossed my mind. “He’s the Alpha, isn’t he? The one everyone in the Snowtooth pack looks
up to?”
Her eyes
darkened, and she lowered her voice further. “Because I said so. Listen to me, Lorelei. If you don’t, things won’t end well for you.”

I leaned back in my chair, studying her with amusement. “Are you threatening me, Lena?”
“Call it what you want,” she said coldly. “Just stay out of our way.”
I watched as Lena stormed off, her body stiff with anger. She walked quickly, trying to hide her frustration, and I could feel the tension in the air as
she left.
Once she was out of sight, I couldn’t help but smile slowly to myself.
I knew exactly what had her so upset–Lena was terrified of Silas seeing me because of how much I looked like Rowena.
It all clicked. The way she acted, the way she tried to stop me from being seen by him–it was clear she didn’t want him to make the connection.
And she was right to worry.
Aew minutes later, I decided it was time to make my move. I stood up and walked toward their table, every step deliberate and confident.
Silas noticed me immediately. His eyes widened in recognition, and he stood up before I could even greet them.
“Lorelei?” he said, his tone filled with surprise and something else–something warmer.
“Silas,” I replied with a soft smile. “What a coincidence seeing you here.”
Lena’s face paled as she looked between us. “You two… know each other?”
