Chapter 12
Fin
“How could you do this, Melanie? How could you?” His eyes began to water but his whole body was still trembling with anger.
“You beat my mother to death. And why? Because she came to confront you?”
“Excuse me, what?” I was finding it hard to wrap my head around what he was saying.
“I did no such thing. Who told you this?”
Jack said blankly, “I’ve been following the police around with those parents lately, and I haven’t seen my mom in a while, but just now Ashley called to tell me that you killed her.”
Ashley?Jack was still in contact with this whore?
I looked at Jack mockingly, I was so stupid in the first place that I would fall for someone like that.
I changed into my own couture jacket and said, “But since you’re here, it’s only fitting that we go to court to deal with the compensation.”

Now their “queen bee” had been exposed as the very thing they despised be the real rich girl.
The irony made them sick. They couldn’t even look at Ashley now.
LI, the woman they’d attacked and humiliated, turned out to
Ashley was shocked when she saw Jack and I walk into the courthouse in harmony. She probably didn’t think I could easily convince Jack that I didn’t hurt his mother.
Because I showed him the hospital surveillance and his mother walked out of the hospital healthy and even had the strength to curse loudly.
Ashley sat alone, a broken woman. Everything happened recently had destroyed her carefully constructed reality.
The financial ruin facing her wasn’t even the worst part.
She’d come to that school ready to destroy a homewrecker, proudly proclaiming her hatred for mistresses.
Only to discover she was the mistress all along.

The truth was a bitter pill she couldn’t swallow.
