“Alpha, your evening meeting has been canceled, and with the war winding down, you’ve got a few days free,”
Leo’s eyes flickered with interest. He leaned forward slightly,
“Check the flights to Karnata for me,” he said after a pause, “If there aren’t any available, arrange for a special flight.”
Panther nodded and began to leave the room, but Leo’s voice stopped him.

I glanced around, realizing that Orlando wasn’t anywhere to be seen. “Where’s Orlando?”
Marcus cleared his throat lightly, a hint of discomfort in his voice.
“He said something came up and couldn’t make it.”
That’s when it clicked. Orlando was trying to set me up with Marcus.
I felt a sudden wave of unease.
I wasn’t with Leo, but I was still carrying his child, and my mind was more focused on my responsibilities and future than anything else.
I sighed inwardly. “Let’s go inside,” I said, deciding that I would explain my situation to Marcus and politely turn him down
