“My father asked me to bring these to you,” she said softly, her voice almost purring. “He said you needed them urgently.” 

She leaned forward, picking up the stack of papers from the table and extending them toward him. 

But Leo didn’t move to take them. His eyes remained fixed on her, cold and unreadable. 

The door was locked,” Leosaid, his tone dropping another degree. “How did you get in?” 

Aria blinked, her expression wide–eyed and innocent. 

Uncle Andrew gave me the key,” she replied, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. 

Leo’s jaw tightened, and a wave of disgust surged through him. Without a word, he turned on his heel, walked over to the door, and yanked it open. 

The gesture was sharp, his patience hanging by a thread. 

His tone was flat, hard, and unforgiving as he said, “Get out.” 

Aria blinked, feigning surprise as she pouted slightly, her lips curving into a false look of disappointment. 

“Oh, come on, Leo,” she said, dragging out the words in a sultry tone, “I came all this way for you. Why don’t we talk?”
