“You’ve said all you know,” I said slowly, trying to keep my voice steady. “And now you want my help.” 

Shakira nodded, pleading with her eyes. “Please. Don’t blame us, Elizabeth. We had no choice.” 

I clenched my fists, unsure of how to feel. 

A part of me hated Shakira and Morpheus for everything they had put me through, for the lies, the betrayal. 

But another part of me couldn’t forget that they had once cared for me, even if it had been for the wrong reasons. 

Shakira shared the same bloodline as my mother. 

Despite everything, I couldn’t let them die under the weight of their mistakes. 

“I’ll help you pay this debt,” I said after a long pause, “but I’m not giving you the money outright like before. Il lend it to you.” 

Shakira and Morpheus exchanged confused glances.

But I stood firm. This pack was supposed to be my mother’s legacy. It should have been mine all along. 

“You need money,” I said coldly, locking eyes with Alice, “and I’m offering a solution. If you don’t agree to this deal, forget it.” 

Morpheus clenched his jaw, his entire body tensing with the weight of the decision. 

“Fine,” he muttered through gritted teeth. “We’ll sign. The pack is yours.” 

“There’s no rush,” Leo said smoothly, his lips curling into a smirk. 

“Tomorrow, we’ll gather the legal team and go to the werewolf council. Everything will be made public then.” 

The light in Morpheus‘ eyes dimmed. 

He knew the consequences of his decision–he had lost everything. 

But this was the only way to keep their family alive. 

The next day, the transfer of the Ghost Pack was finalized before the werewolf council. 

The pack was now incorporated into the Silvermoon Pack, ruled by Leo and me. 

I had expected resistance, anger, and defiance from the wolves of the Ghost Pack.

His eyes locked on mine, and in a deep, warm voice, he called out, “Elizabeth.” 

There was joy in his tone, a kind of relief that made my heart ache. 

He reached my side, his hand gently brushing a stray lock of hair behind my ear. 

His gaze, soft and intense, stayed fixed on my face. 

Why didn’t you return my calls?” he asked quietly. “Were you avoiding me?” 

I shook my head and said helplessly, “Just too busy to avoid you.” 

Leo’s eyes softened, though he didn’t say the words. 

His gaze betrayed the truth, filled with emotions he struggled to hide. He leaned closer, his voice playful but edged with frustration. 

“Well, you’re busier than me now. You used to come back to the villa, but now you don’t. I can’t wait for you to come back every day.” 

I laughed lightly, shaking my head, “It’s just that I’m buried in work. You’re already one of the best Alphas in the werewolf world, but I’ve still got a lot to prove. I can’t afford to slack off.” 

Leo’s lips curved into a smile, his voice lowering with intent.
