“Really?” Emmanuel turned abruptly, his expression lighting up with hope.
“It’s true!” Eve beamed. “The country stands, and your family is whole–this is the best outcome we could have hoped for!”
“Yes, it truly is.” Emmanuel finally exhaled a deep breath of relief. If he had lost Mackenzie again, he wasn’t sure if he would have been able to handle it.
Just then, the sound of urgent footsteps echoed from outside the city gate.
“Boss! The Summertons‘ Army is launching its third all out assault. This time, they’re going mad trying to break through the city!” Sage rushed forward to deliver the report.

Emmanuel clenched his fists, his battle spirit surging. He raised his voice, calling out to his warriors, “Wolf Warrior brothers! Listen up! The Summertons‘ Army is finished! This is their last desperate attempt! If we could hold them off twice, we can hold them off a third time, a fourth time, even a hundred times! One more day–that’s all we need! If we push them back, reinforcements will arrive! We will defend Zovince! We will protect Chanaea!”
His voice boomed across the battlefield, and the exhausted Wolf Warrior fighters suddenly seemed to regain their strength. As one, they roared back:

At the rear of the battlefield, Salem’s expression was twisted with fury. He cursed loudly, his frustration. boiling over. “How the hell is one man killing so many of our troops?! Where’s the justice in this?! Where’s the order?!”
Finley let out a weary sigh. “A War God like Emmanuel only emerges in Chanaea once every few decades. Before him, there was Lucian Lowe, and–now–there’s Emmanuel Lowe. We were simply born in the wrong era.”
“I don’t care! I must take the Congress! I must become President!” Salem had begun to lose his grip on sanity. His voice turned hysterical as he barked, “Finley take the Thirty–Six Vanguard and kill Emmanuel!”
“Great Master, this-” Finley hesitated, his face paling.
He was terrified.
Anyone with eyes could see that Emmanuel had already reached Sage Level. And the way he fought–it was as if he had abandoned all regard for his own life. How could an old man like him possibly go up against such a monster?
“Go! Now! I haven’t fed you all for nothing!” Salem’s patience had reached its breaking point.
This battle was his last gamble–victory or death. At this point, he didn’t even care if Finley died.
He didn’t even care if he died.
“If 36 men aren’t enough, send 360! If 360 men aren’t enough, send 3600! We’ll keep throwing men at him–eventually, someone will kill him!”
Salem spoke the most basic logic of warfare.
Everyone understood it.
But this wasn’t a game. This wasn’t some battle simulation where one could keep topping up resources endlessly. This was a real war–where sending more men meant sending them to die.

The strike landed. Mounted on horseback, Finley hammered Emmanuel with all his might. But before he could celebrate, the War God twisted mid–air, landing in a roll before unleashing a devastating Dragon- Breaking Palm in retaliation. The sheer force sent Finley flying off his horse.

Both men coughed up blood. But while Finley lay lifeless on the ground, Emmanuel roared through the pain and charged forward, still slaughtering enemies as if nothing had happened.
“Madman! He’s a madman… Finley!” Salem’s face twisted in horror.
Seeing his most trusted subordinate perish before his eyes, he was struck with an overwhelming sense of despair. And as he watched Emmanuel lead the Wolf Warriors with unrelenting ferocity, he finally realized -his dream of seizing the throne was about to crumble completely.
The battle raged on through the night.
By morning, the results of the presidential election were announced–Ethan had won by an overwhelming margin.
Meanwhile, Ezra returned from Divine Mountain to the Zelinsky Residence, accompanied by Gautier and the remnants of Teddy’s old faction.
A large group had gathered, their expressions grim.
“There’s no point in holding back anymore,” Gautier was the first to speak. “With Wolf Warrior holding off the enemy outside Zovince, and with the Tocvale and Northern Region armies not yet here, this is our chance! We should form a force and storm Congress, taking control of Chanaea by force!”
“Yes! If we let Ethan seize power, he’ll definitely join forces with Mackenzie and Emmanuel to wipe us out completely!”
“Look at Atticus Sheffield–Grey–his faction has been all but annihilated!”
“We have no choice but to go all in!”
