Sid tossed the towel onto the luxurious marble floor and slipped on his custom gloves.

Back at home, Bennett was bursting with excitement and could not wait to share the news about Cash with Sophic.
She listened with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. “Could someone really be that lucky?” she wondered aloud.
“In this vast world, there are many mysteries,” Bennett replied calmly, then showed her the account balance to prove his point.
“If Charmaine can be so fortunate, why can’t others have special talents too?”
Sophie’s eyes widened at the sight of the balance–over 200,000.
It had been a long time since they had seen that kind of money.
Excitedly, she asked, “Can you buy me some new clothes now that you’re winning?”
“Not yet,” Bennett waved her off. “Let’s wait until I hit five million.”
Then, remembering something important, he quickly sent a message to Cash, asking for his birthday. He wanted to get his fortune told to see when his luck might change.
Cash responded with gratitude, seeming to hang on to every word Bennett said.
Seeing Cash’s fawning messages, Bennett felt a surge of vanity.
He then quickly sent the birthday info to Sophie. “Get your dad to look into his fortune right away. He might just be our ticket back to the top.”
Sophie wasted no time and rushed off to see her father.
Later that evening, after checking Emyr’s pulse, Charmaine prepared a new herbal bath for him.
Emyr looked at the bathtub filled with herbs and frowned slightly.
“Didn’t Basil already say…

Emyr began, but a sharp look from Charmaine silenced him.
“Basil is Basil, and I’m me. I don’t care what he says. I’m doing what needs to be done.”
She did not wait for Emyr’s agreement and pushed him towards the bathroom.
“This herbal bath isn’t just for your leg but also for the chills. Remember how much better your leg felt after the last few baths?”

Charmaine texted back, “You’re brilliant, Sid! Could you pass me the contact? It would make things easier.”
Sid quickly replied, “Are you trying to do something behind my back?”
“Absolutely not!”
Sid sent a sad puppy emoji. “You won’t tell me where you live or let me help. They’re bullying you, and I want to help you get back at them. Can’t I?”
Charmaine sighed and rubbed her forehead.
Sid was someone she had rescued back in South Aspus.
Like the son of the old dean, both were misled into a dark, inhumane place.
He was the illegitimate son of a celebrated actress and a Yasarian Duke. The royal family disdained the actress’s status and did not recognize Sid as one of their own. Despite the criticism, his mother raised him on her own.
