A large crowd of representatives lined up to congratulate Mackenzie.

“Mr. Tanner, please transfer the Chairman’s official seal and related matters to me moving on.” Mackenzie approached Teddy and spoke firmly after the quick cheer.
Without saying a word, he stood up and walked away.
According to protocol, the formal handover ceremony for the President’s seal and position would occur the next day.
As a sign of respect, the new and former chairman typically say a few words to each other.
Instead, Teddy revealed his true self by shedding his hypocritical mask–not even bothering with a fake congratulation.
“This… This old b*stard!” Jidrus despised, furious at Teddy’s contemptuous act.
Many others thought his behavior was inappropriate as well.
Nevertheless, she smiled. The more he behaved in such a way, the better–it meant he abandoned the pretense in public as he was panicking.
As Mackenzie and her entourage stepped out of the hall, Nathan rushed forward and grinned.
“Mistress, Veronica prepares a grand feast at the Chapman Crest Hotel to celebrate this!”
Beatrix jumped out from the side with arms akimbo and raised chin, pouting in annoyance. “Hmm… Will this meal be just as miserable as the last one?”
“Huh? Absolutely not!” Nathan waved his hands. “I swear, this time it will be without a hitch! The Chapman Crest Hotel shall only treat the group here tonight!”
“That’s enough, Beatrix.” Mackenzie pulled her back and admonished her gently.
“Thank you, Mistress!”
Just as Nathan sighed in relief, he yelped. “Ahh!”
“Are you saying that I’m unreasonable?” Standing with arms akimbo, Beatrix stomped on his foot and complained.
“I… I didn’t mean that!” Nathan was more wronged than a tragic hero.
All he did was just arrange a meal. Why was he being scolded and stomped on?

The group of entourage burst into laughter.
Jirdaus shouted, “Ms. Quillen, take us to dinner then! We’re starving!”
“That’s right! We would be well–fed under Ms. Quillen’s care!”

The crowd erupted in cheers while stepping outside the grand hall.
Mackenzie was speechless and let Nathan lead them away, avoiding these embarrassing moments of getting caught on camera.
Thirty–three cars
ransported the crowd from the area to the Chapman Crest Hotel.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie and Lexi held a brief press conference under the protection of Liana and Ember as part of the procedure before the official handover ceremony for Chanaea’s commerce chairman.
After wrapping up the press segment, they headed to Chapman Crest Hotel as well.
“Mackenzie!” Emmanuel approached her with a warm smile as soon as she stepped into the grand banquet hall. “I knew you’d win!”
Women accompanying Mackenzie tactfully stepped aside, leaving them alone.
“It’s all because of you,” she responded with a smile full of warmth.
Their lovey–dovey act was enough to give everyone a sugar rush.

“It was such a relief after knowing that you’ve been elected as the new chairman. ” Ethan did not beat around the bush. “I know Mr. Lowe very well–he’s a man of integrity. I believe as his wife, you are the same, someone who can rid the business world of past corruption and bring a fresh start.”
Ethan’s speech was measured and official, just as a politician should be.
Drawing from her experience in handling high–level officials, Mackenzie smiled. “Mr. Hale, I appreciate your kind words. I still have much to learn, but I hope to contribute to the nation’s business sector however
I can.”
“Ms. Quillen, there’s no need for modesty.” Ethan waved his hand, continuing, “I came not just to congratulate you, but also to warn you–Teddy Tanner’s roots run deep. Be prepared for a tough fight ahead.”
