Milo’s nonchalant expression suddenly sharpened. “The Fisher family thinks they can lecture a Nelson? You must have some nerve.”
Jenny and Hector suddenly realized what was happening. Milo had been waiting here, ready to cause trouble for them, all in defense of Charmaine!
Earlier, because Emyr was present, Jenny couldn’t say much. Now, she had no such restraints.
“Mr. Milo, have you lost your mind? That ill–mannered, lowborn daughther, that your family reclaimed has no decency. She’s been with God knows how many filthy men in South Aspus… Argh!”
With a loud bang, Milo kicked the already damaged rear of their car, causing the cracked trunk to crumple further.
Jenny’s heart pounded wildly. Seeing Milo’s fierce expression, she instinctively stepped back several paces.
Still trying to maintain her composure, she snapped, “You’re insane! I won’t let this slide. The Nelsons owe me an explanation!”
Milo’s eyes blazed with anger, veins bulging in his neck. “If I hear you slandering Charmaine again, next time it won’t just be your car that gets damaged.”
With that, he shot them one last venomous glance and drove off.
In the passenger seat, Jared, who had witnessed the entire scene, whistled appreciatively.
“Impressive, Milo. Such fire!”
Jared chuckled, “I always knew you were protective of your sister, Leah. Now it turns out you’re just as protective of Charmaine. Being your sister must be a blessing!”
Milo tightened his grip on the steering wheel at Jared’s words.
“Hah, I wouldn’t want you as my sister.”
Jared laughed and cursed, “Scr*w you!”
After a moment of silence, Milo said suddenly, “I need you to do me a favor.”
The online uproar over the fortune–telling scandal lasted for several days. Bennett’s house didn’t just fail to sell; nobody even came to inquire about it.
Additionally, he couldn’t offload his other assets as no one was interested.
Business partnerships fell apart, and those who had signed contracts kept calling him every day, demanding progress. Bennett was beside himself with stress and panic.
Shareholders and employees in his company were anxious, and debt collectors were camped out at his door

Only when Leah knew that Bennett had somewhat managed to sort things out did she dare to meet with him again.
She was tired of Bennett asking her for money.
She was already in a mess because of him. How could she possibly help him!
In just a few days, Bennett had lost a significant amount of weight. His already sharp features now looked even more severe and frightening.
One look at him made Leah feel repulsed. She went straight to Sophie, “What did Grandpa say?”
Sophie pulled two talismans from her pocket and passed on Flory’s exact words to Leah.
Leah accepted the items, but her face contorted with frustration. “Why does this still require Charmaine’s belongings? Milo returned everything. How am I supposed to get them now? Can’t we use something more powerful?”
Sophie hesitated, “These are already very potent. There’s no way to cast spells without a medium.”
Bennett rasped, “If we can’t get her belongings in secret, we’ll just have to get them in the open, make her willingly hand them over.”
Leah reluctantly agreed, “Alright, I’ll think of a way.
After a pause, she asked, “Anything else?”

Sophie hesitated before handing over another item.
It was a small white fabric effigy.
“This is Cursecraft, a very dark magic. I once saw someone secretly request this effigy from your grandfather … Once the person’s birth chart is written on its back, catastrophe is certain.”
Finally, Leah’s face lit up with a smile, and she snatched it up. “Why didn’t you bring out something this good earlier?”
“It’s not really a good thing. Using it can bring severe backlash and misfortune!”
Leah scoffed, “My life is already bad enough. What’s there to fear? Charmaine’s supposed to have the divine fortune, right? Once I steal her fortune, no misfortune can touch me.”
Sophie wanted to say more, but Bennett snarled at her.
“Now is not the time to be scared. Thank goodness my daughter isn’t like you; she’ll get things done!”
Leah rolled her eyes internally at Bennett’s self–congratulatory praise.
