I was taken aback, my eyes showing a hint of confusion. I instinctively refuted, “I don’t know him.”
Lukas felt that my reaction was a bit strange. “You denied it too quickly.”
I regained my composure, “I only heard about him back in college. After all, he was quite famous on campus.”
Lukas’s eyes flickered, “Is that so?”
I remained silent.

I asked Lukas, “Was Natalia arrested?”
Lukas frowned, “You sympathize with her?”
I could tell from his expression that he misunderstood me.
I shook my head, “I’m not that saintly. She harmed me, and I don’t actually sympathize with her that much. I don’t have that much–overflowing sympathy. It’s just that, eliminating Natalia alone won’t solve the issue if we can’t catch the mastermind behind all
of this.”
Lukas’s eyes flashed, “Natalia was fired. Whether she lives or dies, it has nothing to do with me. As for the mastermind, if you insist on believing in James, then I’ll let you believe what you want. I’ll continue my investigation.”
I sincerely spoke, “Thank you, Mr. Strakovski.”
Lukas snorted, “No need. Just stay away from James, that’s enough.”
I bit my lip, wanting to explain, but thinking of what happened at noon, I didn’t know what to say.
Shortly after, I thought of Victoria’s use of my father’s letter to threaten me and had an instinct to tell Lukas.

Victoria thought of Bella’s current situation and raised his voice, “I don’t care about your relationship. I just want Bella to enter Strakovski Jewelry, I’ll give you one week. If you can’t do it by then, I will burn the letter.”
After saying this, Victoria hung up the phone directly.
I stared at my phone, feeling terrible. I didn’t expect Victoria to be in such a hurry. Why was she suddenly pushing me?

After saying that, Olivia turned to leave.
