Magnus remained at case, a confident smile curving his lips as he silently endured the pointed stares directed his way.
With that, the group entered Stonvale. From the outside, the town nestled within the mountainous forest appeared to be a humble village. Still, its interior revealed a bustling, lively settlement filled with people going about their day.
After settling into a well–maintained hotel, Mackenzie checked in on Libby.
“Thank you for your concern, Mackenzie. I’m fine now. Libby responded softly, her demeanor obedient and reserved.
Her personality was reminiscent of Claudette’s, though her aura was distinctly different. Their physiques also differed. Libby appeared delicate and youthful, resembling a fifteen or sixteen–year–old girl. However, as Mackenzie had recently learned, she was already nineteen years and nine months old.
Noticing Libby’s torn and dirty clothes, Claudette kindly offered her own. Unfortunately, Libby, though slightly shorter, was significantly more voluptuous. Claudette’s tops and undergarments didn’t fit her at all.
When Mackenzie entered the room and saw the dilemma, she chuckled. “Try mine, then!”
“Yours?” Claudette blurted out instinctively.

In her mind, Mackenzie’s undergarments were only a size larger than hers, and Libby needed something two or three sizes bigger. Mackenzie’s might not fit either.
“Well, if mine don’t work, we’ll just go into town and buy some new ones,” Mackenzie replied smoothly, gesturing to Solana to bring her spare clothes.
To everyone’s surprise, Libby fit perfectly into Mackenzie’s attire.
Claudette suddenly felt a twinge of insecurity. Since Mackenzie had her child, her figure had only grown more stunning.
The two women, both kind–hearted, carefully helped Libby dress and tidy herself up. Once dressed in Mackenzie’s elegant clothes, Libby transformed into a breathtaking beauty.
“Libby, you look stunning!” Claudette exclaimed, unable to hide her amazement.
“No, I’m not.” Libby lowered her head shyly, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Compared to Mackenzie and Claudette, she felt worlds apart.
Mackenzie laughed, “Oh, but you are! The
say there are no ugly women, only lazy ones. Libby, you’ve got such a great foundation. With just a little effort, you’re a natural beauty!”
“Exactly! Your skin is so radiant–it makes me jealous!” Lexi chimed in, though she thought to herself. Her appearance is as remarkable as these two heiresses, but her aura, especially compared to Ms.Quillen’s, still falls short.
“Please don’t tease me. I could never compare to you two,” Libby murmured nervously, fidgeting with her fingers.

Just then, Hattie entered the room. After marveling at bby’s transformation, she informed Mackenzie that Magnus needed to discuss something important with her.
Mackenzie, Lexi, and Hattie left the room, leaving Claudette and Libby behind.
“Libby, you must be hungry. I’ll step out and have someone bring food up for you,” Claudette said warmly, treating Libby like a younger sister.
Libby was deeply touched. As soon as Claudette left, she found herself alone, tears of gratitude welling up in her eyes.
“Mackenzie! Mackenzie!” Quintus‘ voice suddenly echoed from outside.
Unaware that Mackenzie had left with Hattie, Quintus headed straight for Claudette’s room, having heard she was there. Seeing the door slightly ajar, he pushed it open and spotted Libby’s back.
“Oh, Mackenzie, why are you alone? Haha.” Quintus‘ tone was uncharacteristically gentle, a stark contrast to his usual gruffness. Seeing the clothes, he naturally assumed it was Mackenzie.
Libby immediately realized he had feelings for Mackenzie–well, she thought, the man had good taste.
“Dinner’s ready. Let’s go eat and talk about our next steps,” Quintus said cheerfully.
To his surprise, Mackenzie–ör rather, Libby–remained silent and kept her back turned.
“Mackenzie, what’s wrong?” Quintus asked, puzzled.

When she still didn’t respond, he frowned and moved closer. Something felt off.
“Mackenzie, are you… shorter?” he blurted, his tone laced with suspicion. “Did someone mess with you?”
Growing anxious, he stepped forward and spun her around–only to find himself face–to–face with someone completely unexpected.
“What the-! You’re not Mackenzie!”
Quintus‘ first instinct was anger. “How dare you impersonate my goddess? Are you asking for trouble?”
He raised his fist instinctively but froze when he recognized her face. It was Libby.
“It’s you, Lib?” Quintus frowned, questioning, “Why are you wearing Mackenzie’s clothes?”
Libby’s face paled, and for a moment, she couldn’t say anything.
“Hmph! Take them off right now! No one’s allowed to imitate Mackenzie. You’re nowhere near her level. Haven’t you heard the saying, ‘It takes more than a dragon robe to make a prince‘?” Quintus scolded harshly, his tone cold.
Libby’s tears began to flow instantly. Quintus had been the one to save her during her most desperate moment, and she admired him deeply for his strong, upright nature. Yet here he was, looking down on
her.
“Are vou crving? Why are vou crving?” Quintus grew flustered, stomping his foot anxiously.

Claudette returned just in time to witness the scene. She had food in her hands and stopped short, shocked. “Quin, how did you get in here?”

Seeing Libby’s tear–streaked face, Claudette’s expression darkened. She placed the food down and strode over to shove Quintus firmly. “What are you doing? Are you bullying Libby again?”
Just earlier, she’d reassured Libby that Quintus would surely take pity on her, thinking he’d show a softer side. Yet, to her shock, he had proven her completely wrong. He was stubborn–like a stone from a latrine pit.
“Me? I didn’t bully her!” Quintus protested. “I just told her to stop wearing Mackenzie’s clothes and to take them off. Then she started crying!”
Claudette’s fury boiled over. “Quin, how is that not bullying? Telling a girl to take off her clothes–that’s harassment!”
“But…” Quintus looked around helplessly. Is that harassment?
Libby rugged at Claudette’s sleeve, speaking up for him. “Claudette, don’t blame him. He’s right. I’m not worthy of wearing Mackenzie’s clothes. I’ll change back into my own.”
“How can that be okay?” Claudette snapped, her usual gentleness replaced with irritation as she glared at Quintus. “Apologize to Libby, right now! Her clothes were torn and dirty. Mackenzie and I gave her something clean to wear. How could you be so inconsiderate and hurt her feelings like that?”
“But…” Quintus threw his hands up in frustration, wondering if he was wrong. Anyone would have reacted the same way if they saw someone else in their goddess clothes.
“Claudette, don’t blame him. He’s right.” Libby, however, insisted on standing up for Quintus. Spreading her arms protectively in front of him, she pleaded on his behalf.
