Chapter 28
You’re really enjoying seeing me in such a state, arent you? I said to him blandly
Quentin watched me for a few more seconds before shifting back into a human form. Thebt my breath as he moved closer to me
Seeing Quentin again after so much time has already passed was one thing. Having to set eyes on his naked form was another
It was hard not to stare at his clear muscle lines and sculpted abs. Everything about him screamed hung, especially when my eyes slowly went down.
Definitely hung
eyes are up here,”
1 turned away as my cheeks heated up. “You have an average body. Cover up already.”
“Well excuse me if I’m standing here naked,” He replied coldly, “I was in such a hurry to save a certain princess that I simply didn’t take clothes.”
I cleared my throat. “I’ll help you find some, Come with me.”
It was hard trying not to blush as I helped Quentin find some clothes. Even harder when a certain man with the body of a Greek god was standing right beside me.
The nannies and guards all looked stunned as I walked with Quentin following right after me. I sent them a curt nod while they tried to bow.
“He’s going to need some clothes.” I said to one of the nannies.
She nodded her head and went to get me what I’d ordered. Not a moment later, she came back with a shirt and some trousers.
“Put this on.” I handed them to him.
Just as Quentin was about putting on his shirt, Askhan walked in, followed by all my brothers.
“What the actual fuck?” Askhan’s eyes narrowed on Quentin. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh nothing. Just that I saved your sister from some wolves who were about to hurt her. You’re welcome.” Quentin answered coldly.
With his shirt still in hand, he walked out of the room. Askhan looked pissed as hell as he called for his guards.
“I want you to bring them to me, now!” he ordered.
“Yes, sir!”
They hurried away to carry out Askhan’s orders. My first brother, Emory, had a look of remorse and anger on his face.
“Can’t believe I let my precious princess get harassed in my own house.”
“It was just an accident, Emory.” I said to him. “And don’t call me princess. I have a five–year–old daughter for crying out loud.”
“Doesn’t matter.” Lucian scoffs jokingly. “Even if you’re fifty, you’ll always be our little princess.”
I couldn’t help the smile that tugged at my lips. My eyes landed on Quentin who was still at the far exit of the room.
He’d been watching. As soon as his eyes caught mine, he turned away and left.
“You ready to face them?”
I doubted there would ever be a day where I would be completely used to Askhan’s concern over me. I nodded my head and stilled all the nerves that racked me.
With that, we made our way to the courtyard where all the people who had come to the party were. As soon as we came out, all their attention turned to them.
“Bring them in.” Askhan said to one of the guards.

time to see the guards dragging in Marco and his gang. Immediately their eyes landed on me, they began to cry and wail.
I felt a surver of satisfaction seeing their pathetic faces. Getting to see them grovel before my feet would be nothing more than an added bonus.
We came here to celebrate Melanie’s return and these animals thought it would be the best opportunity to try and harass the princess herself.”
Gasps of shock and surprise erupted through most people in the crowd. A couple of them shook their heads, staring disapprovingly at the men who had their faces lowered in shame.
“Have mercy, my lord Camar began to sob.
“Silence.” Askhan said coldly, glaring at the man from the corner of his eye.
That expected him to stop, along with every single one of the murmurs and whispers. Askhan turned back to regard the crowd.
Tetice and equality remains the one thing I will continue to stand for. They will henceforth be banished for their crimes against Princess Melanie.”
Staring at Askhan, I couldn’t help but notice the air of maturity that surrounded him. His handsome face was hardened into a serious look as he addressed the crowd.
“On no account will I tolerate any form of disrespect towards Melanie. And today, I hope this serves as an example to anybody.”
The sound of murmurs filled the air while Marco and the rest continued to cry and beg. I didn’t spare them a glance, my eyes focused on the crowd of nobles before me.
