Cherise smiled as she looked at the well–maintained woman in front of her, remaining silent.
Stella continued speaking. “Lucia is a wife who’s been pampered by her husband, and she has a bit of a temper, often getting unstable due to her polycystic ovaries.
“Her behavior earlier was a bit out of line, but it probably wasn’t intentional. If it upset you, could we possibly let it go, considering our shared history?
“Or, if the misunderstanding really bothers you, I can apologize on Lucia’s behalf. If that’s not enough, I can convince Lucia to apologize to you herself, how about that?”
Stella’s words were carefully chosen, and many people would have seen her as an elegant woman with great foresight, truly showing consideration for the bigger picture.
However, at this moment, Cherise’s eyes held nothing but curiosity as she looked at the woman, her smile faint.
Seeing Cherise’s subtle smile, Stella didn’t quite understand what it meant, feeling momentarily at a loss.
Stella spoke again. “Mrs. Leach, what do you think?”
“Nothing much,” Cherise replied lightly, her voice completely neutral.

While most people might have thought Cherise was unwilling to forgive, she spoke again. “I haven’t seen an apology being substituted before.
“You’re not too young, are you? At least, I’d say you’re much older than me, right? Huh? So, you still can’t take responsibility for your own actions? Or does age mean you can bully someone younger?”
As she spoke, Cherise casually fiddled with her freshly done nails, looking quite pleased with herself.
Stella hadn’t expected Cherise to be so resolute.
Lucia, standing behind her, couldn’t take it any longer. Realizing that her impulsive words had crossed the line, she stepped forward. “Stella, you don’t need to defend me anymore. It’s fine.
“I appreciate the thought. It’s my fault. I’ll apologize. Apologizing isn’t that big of a deal.”
Lucia stood in front of Cherise, avoiding her gaze. Instead, she bowed her head as if resigning herself to fate, and muttered, “Ms. Leach, right? I’m sorry.”
Before Cherise could respond, Lucia turned to leave.
As Lucia was halfway to the door, Cherise’s cold voice stopped her. “Remember this person. Put her on the Taylor Vogue blacklist.”
“Yes!” The waitresses all responded in unison, their voices loud and clear, striking straight into Lucia’s heart.
Lucia stopped in her tracks. Without looking back, she ground her teeth and stomped her foot, then continued toward the door.
“Huh? Lucia, Lucia…” Stella, still inside Taylor Vogue, called out softly.
She turned to face Cherise and Jean. “Jean, Ms. Leach, I’m really sorry about this small misunderstanding. I’ll come back to formally apologize another time.”

their bags and headed out, likely to catch up with Lucia who was departing.
The other customers, seeing that the scene was over, returned to their places and continued picking out clothes.
For Cherise and the others, this minor incident didn’t have much of an impact.
But not everyone felt the same.
Xenia led Cherise and Jean toward the VIP room on the third floor.
Curious, Xenia asked, “Cherise, who was that elegant and beautiful woman carlier? I don’t think I’ve ever seen her around Betrico. She seemed to know Jean.”
Jean explained, “She used to be our neighbor. Her father was one of the founding figures of the country, Jagger, the still- living Mr. Walton. Later, she went to Hesperia.
“She became a simultaneous interpreter, I think, a real career woman. When Uncle Arthur took charge, we moved to the Jarrett residence and lost contact with the Walton family.
“But I vaguely heard from my grandma that she’s now the chief interpreter in Hesperia. When I was little, I always thought she was beautiful, and she hasn’t changed much since then.”
Xenia smirked. “She sounds like quite the social butterfly, right, Cherise?”
Cherise simply smiled softly, not offering her own thoughts.

On the third floor of Taylor Vogue, only Xenia and those she allowed could enter.
Aside from the large windows offering a view of the bustling commercial street outside, the rest of the space was dominated/ by a white color scheme.
There were numerous anime pieces designed by Xenia herself, as well as dozens of mannequins dressed in highly distinctive fashion pieces.
The scene was quite impressive, and Jean, visiting for the first time, couldn’t help but gape.
“Look at these pieces, Cherise. I’ve been taking
of them for you, making sure no one gets care
too close,” Xenia said proudly.
Cherise nodded, pleased. “Nice work. Thank you, Ms. Taylor.”
Jean gasped again. “Wait, Xenia… Are these all designs by Cherise?”
Xenia beamed with pride. “Of course! Every single one. Not many people know about it.”
Jean moved closer to one of the mannequins, picked up a tag, and screamed. “Duskson? Cherise is Duskson? No wonder you mentioned earlier that Lucia had tried on Cherise’s designs.”
Xenia nodded. “Keep it quiet. This is just a little hobby of Cherise’s. Right, Cherise?”
Cherise, already walking toward a large white curtain at the front of the room, didn’t respond immediately.
She turned to look at Xenia. “It’s back there, right?”
Xenia snapped her fingers. “Yep, right behind that curtain. I personally oversaw it according to your design. You’ll be pleased,
I’m sure.”
Jean wasn’t
sure what they were talking about, but for some reason, she suddenly felt an unexplainable sense of anticipation.

Cherise smiled and nodded, then turned toward the white curtain and yanked it open with a swift motion.
“Wow!” Xenia and Jean both exclaimed in unison, their voices full of excitement.
Behind the curtain stood a stunning, flawless white wedding gown.
