Chapter 645
Sienna and Bruce’s faces grew tense, but Jeremiah did not seem worried. His gaze lingered on Yvette for a few seconds, recalling the scene in Dungo Village where the venomous insects had cowered in fear.
Jeremiah thought, ‘Even the poisonous insect king obeyed her completely. How could a mere aphrodisiac affect her?’
Jeremiah whispered, “This aphrodisiac doesn’t work on your body.”
Yvette, her eyes half closed, nodded slightly and swung her legszily. “Mm, most drugs do not affect my body. Simply put, I’m immune to all poisons,” she explained calmly.
Frankie’s jaw dropped in disbelief, wide enough to swallow an egg. He stammered, “I–Immune to all poisons?”
Frankie was plunged into deep doubt, wondering, ‘Is the world live in still a world ruled by science? Can anyone truly be immune to all poisons?‘ he wondered.
He did not believe it, but the evidence was undeniable. Yvette had consumed a powerful aphrodisiac and remained completely unaffected, which proved everything. ‘What kind of divine constitution does Yvete possess?‘ he thought.
Bruce managed to stay composed, though the disbelief on his face betrayed his inner shock. He thought, ‘Immune to all poisons? That’s beyond human understanding.
‘Yve’s body must be fundamentally different–perhaps it is innate. How else could someone achieve such immunity?‘
Sienna, Yvette’s biggest fan, was surprisingly the first to accept the situation. She firmly believed in the saying, “At the end of science lies mysticism; some things simply can’t be explained scientifically.”
Compared to the astonishment of the others, Jeremiah merely curved his lips. The world was never that simple to begin with; some matters were simply beyond the reach of ordinary people.
Yvette rested her chin on her hand, tilting her head slightly to look at Jeremiah. Her stunning eyes gleamed mischievously. “Since someone has already set the stage, wouldn’t it be a shame not to step up and honor their efforts?” she asked.
From the playful look in her eyes, Jeremiah could tell Yvette was ready for some fun. A hint of helplessness crossed his sharply defined face as he resigned himself and stood up with a lowered gaze.
He bent down slightly and whispered, “Yvette, remember to come rescue me later.”
Yvette tilted her head, her clear, bright eyes locking onto Jeremiah’s. She lightly tapped her fingers, extending one to poke his shoulder, her expression nonchalant. “Ten million dollars per rescue. Are you sure you want help?” she asked.
Jeremiah froze, feeling that Yvette was becoming more blatant with her extortion. He replied, “Fine. Add another 7 million dollars, but I don’t think the poison in me has been fully cleared yet.”
Yvette’s gaze fixed on Jeremiah. She leaned back, crossed her legs in a boss–like posture, and curled her lips into a mischievous smile. “Keep dreaming,” she said.
A glint of amusement flashed in Jeremiah’s eyes as he stood up and walked toward the restroom.
Yvette also stood, turned to the trio, and said, “Do as you please.” Then, she walked out, her lean figure exuding an air of nonchalance and defiance.
Frankie, Bruce, and Sienna exchanged knowing looks. From Jeremiah and Yvette’s behavior, they knew trouble was brewing. They could already guess who had schemed against them during the trip. Some people just never learn.
Meanwhile, Savannah and Thiago watched as Jeremiah headed toward the restroom, followed by Yvette leaving the room. Both had already consumed the drugged drinks, and the thought of soon having what they desired filled them with

Unable to contain her impatience, Savannah stood up and said Thiago, “Tell your men to be quick and discreet. Send them to their rooms immediately.”

Thiago, equally restless at the thought of soon having the cold and beautiful woman, nodded eagerly and said, “Don’t worry. You head back to your room. They’ll be delivered shortly.”
Savannah nodded, grabbed her purse, and headed out.
In the hotel corridor, Yvette walked leisurely with her hands in her pockets, her eyes radiating casual indifference.
She smirked when she heard footsteps coming from behind her. Suddenly, her vision blurred. She leaned against the hallway wall, feeling dizzy and weak as if she were about to faint any second.
Two men in hotel uniforms followed her, exchanged glances, and quickly approached. They reached out to support her as they saw Yvette about to collapse.
Just as their hands reached out, Yvette sidestepped, causing them to miss. She forced her eyes open, looking weak and uncomfortable. “What are you doing?” she asked softly.
The two men, unfazed, pointed to their uniforms. “Miss, we are the hotel attendants. You don’t seem well. Can we escort you back to your room?” they replied.
Yvette glanced at their name tags, the wariness on her face easing slightly. After a moment’s hesitation, she nodded and said, “Fine. I’ll be in your care.”
The men, thrilled at her agreement, eagerly reached for her arms, hoping to take advantage of the situation.
Yvette stepped back and said coldly, “No need to support me. I don’t like being touched. Just lead the way.”
When they realized how cautious Yvette was, they didn’t dare push any further for fear of not getting paid if things went wrong. They quickly took her to a room on the third floor, noticing that she was becoming dizzy.
In the elevator, Yvette stood in a corner. When the men weren’t looking, she glanced at the illuminated “3” on the panel and smirked faintly, her eyes flashing with cold sharpness.
Meanwhile, in the men’s restroom, Jeremiah collapsed against the wall, unconscious. His pursuers, seeing him faint, swiftly carried him to Room 504 on the fifth floor.
In the room, Savannah had already showered and changed into a revealing outfit. She reapplied her makeup and sprayed on an enticing perfume. When the men brought in the unconscious Jeremiah and placed him on the bed, her eyes gleamed with longing. She could barely contain herself.
Turning to the men, she commanded haughtily, “You guys wait outside. I’ll call you if I need anything.”
The men nodded, sneaking one last greedy glance at Savannah before leaving.
Outside, one of the men peeked through the closing door, muttering enviously, “Damn, that guy’s going to have the time of his life. That woman screams wild. Spiking drinks, too—what a thrill.”
The other man nodded in agreement. “Exactly! If it were me, I would have jumped her already. She must be incredible in bed. I have no idea why she needed to drug him, though. I guess we’ll never understand the games rich people play,” he said.
Back in Room 308, Thiago, now in a bathrobe, paced impatiently. He had been waiting for ages, his face filled with anticipation. When the doorbell finally rang, he rushed to open it.
