Chapter 476
The servant’s scream woke everyone inside Dream Residence, including Rayburn and Jason, who came over tonight to visit Rayburn and spend the night.
This was Rita’s second time entering Dream Residence, and compared to last time, she seemed a bit calmer.
Yet, she still felt a bit dazzled.
The servant who had just opened the door for Rita was now huddled in the corner, trembling from time to time.
Jason and Rayburn didn’t know what had happened, but they heard a servant screaming and shouting, so they quickly put on some clothes and rushed downstairs.
As they reached the spiral staircase, they saw a figure in a black cloak standing in the living room on the first floor.
This figure indeed resembled Rita’s silhouette quite closely.
However, seeing someone in a black cloak at this time of the night was quite eerie and frightening.
Rayburn and Jason exchanged glances and, feeling a bit annoyed, walked downstairs.
“What’s going on here? It’s the middle of the night, and you’re here dressed like this.
“I don’t remember us having any unfinished business,” Rayburn said as he walked down the stairs.
Jason, being quite vigilant, had already alerted all of the security, fearin
something might happen.
Rayburn noticed Rita standing there silently with her back to them and, slightly annoyed, asked, “Why aren’t you speaking?”
“If you came for nothing, please leave now. We need to rest.”
Glancing at the servant trembling in the corner, Rayburn asked, “Luke, what’s going on here?”
The servant pointed at Rita. “She’s changed. She looked so horrible, like a monster. I’m so terrified.”
Rayburn looked puzzled for a moment and furrowed his brows. “Rita, what are you doing? If you don’t leave, I’ll have security escort you out.
“Don’t blame me for being harsh when it gets nasty.”
As he spoke, Rayburn moved to push her.
To his surprise, Rita turned to face him.
The sudden turn startled everyone there, including all the security staff, Jason, and Mr. Rayburn.
Rita used to be the hostess of the Muller family, and everyone had seen her before. Though she was a bit plain back then, she had undeniable beauty and youthful charm.
She now had a deformed appearance, resembling a dried–up mummy save for her eyes, which still looked like Rita’s. It made sense why the maid ducked into a corner in fear.
Jason had heard something from Cherise. He watched Rita quietly, but his fists tightened, ready to make a move.
However, Rayburn was clueless about what had happened to Morris a few days ago as it hadn’t been made public. He didn’t know about Cherise’s plan either. He asked, “Are you sure really Rita?

“How did you end up looking like this?
“I don’t know what happened to you, but we’ve divorced. We have nothing to do with each other.
“I order you to get out of Dream Residence at once.
“Leave now.”
Rita finally spoke up with a chuckle, “Haha, what? Are you afraid ‘ll dirty this place, which you constructed in Megan’s honor?
“I’m determined to stay right here. I’m not leaving. Let’s see what you can do about it.”
Rayburn shouted angrily, “This is outrageous. Guys, get this crazy woman out of here.”
The security hesitated for a moment but still stepped forward, saying, “Madam, apologies.”
With that, they moved forward, ready to escort Rita out of the house.
Before they could get close, Rita struck. Her punches were quick and strong, and in no time, she had knocked down the six security guards.
Jason squinted, thinking Cherise was right. Rita did have martial arts skills and was quite skilled.
Rayburn had learned some time ago that Rita had some martial arts skills, but he had no idea she was so skilled.
Looking at her, he said, “Very impressive; you’ve been hiding your martial arts skills for all these years very well.
“So, you didn’t come here with good intentions today.”
Rita snorted, “That’s right. I came here tonight specifically for you.
“I ended up like this thanks to your granddaughter.
“Not only that, she got Garrick killed.
“Since she has taken everyone from me one by one, how could I not get some payback from her grandfather?”
With that said, she quickly made her move before Rayburn could react.
Jason shouted, “Watch out!”
Rayburn swiftly dodged her strike.
Seeing the anger on her face, Rayburn remarked, “You are truly misguided. Garrick was to blame for his death, yet you vent it on Cherise.
“Alright then; don’t blame me for being rude.”
Being an expert in martial arts, Rayburn also made a move against her.
Jason felt this was a matter between them. Some truths needed to be revealed, so he just stood there, quietly observing.
