Chapter 79: Public Praise
He originally thought that having his granddaughter come to apologize in person and maybe receive some admonishment would be the best way to appease the anger of the Larson family and avoid further grudges.
Unexpectedly, Old Mr. Larson was actually planning to come in person!
Does this mean he’s not willing to let things go quietly?!
“Why didn’t you apologize properly?” Old Mr. Bellerose grew angrier as he thought about it, furrowing his brows deeply. Truly an unfilial child!”
Vanessa joined in questioning Charlotte on behalf of the elderly. “Your grandfather is asking you a question! Why aren’t you saying anything? Tell us,
hat did you do? Did you anger Mr. Larson?”
While they were talking, hurried footsteps were heard at the door. A maid rushed in anxiously to report, “The one from the Larson family has arrived!”
Already? Everyone was still in shock when Mr. Larson strode into the hall.
He subconsciously glanced at Charlotte, his eyes showing reverence.
Charlotte calmly looked back at him, saying nothing.
Mr. Larson’s assistant followed and entered the hall, placing some precious gifts on the table.
“What is this…” Old Mr. Bellerose looked puzzled, unable to comprehend all of this.
The others also wore expressions of perplexity.
“Here, these are some antique treasures collected by our family,” Mr. Larson chuckled, his tone unusually gentle. “I’ve brought them for you all to enjoy.”
Old Mr. Bellerose widened his eyes, once again struck dumb.
Each of these antique collections was valuable, some even being rare and priceless artifacts.
Mr. Larson was unexpectedly generous in gifting them, what was going on?!
The others were equally astonished, unsure of what this old man was really up to.
Shouldn’t he be furious and demanding retribution when coming to the Bellerose Family?
Why was he smiling and offering gifts instead?
“It’s like this,” Mr. Larson explained with a smile, “it was all a misunderstanding before. I misunderstood Charlotte. These antiques can be considered my way of making amends.”
He sighed and continued, “In the end, it’s my grandson’s fault for being irresponsible, causing me to wrongly accuse Charlotte. In truth, she had nothing to do with it.”
With that, he turned his gaze towards Charlotte, speaking approvingly, “Charlotte is an excellent child. Getting to know her has truly broadened my
horizons.”
He then looked at Old Mr. Bellerose with a meaningful tone, “You’re truly fortunate to have such a granddaughter… you should cherish her more in the
future!”
Old Mr. and Mrs. Bellerose were in disbelief, their eyes widened in astonishment. They were lost for words.
Mr. Barson coming in person was actually to apologize and make amends!
Moreover, he quite appreciates Charlotte!
All of this feels so unreal, utterly baffling.
Christopher and Vanessa also wore expressions of astonishment. What on earth was going on?!

Why did everything suddenly turn around?
It’s completely different from what they had anticipated!
“Is that so?” Old Mr. Bellerose was momentarily stunned, finally piecing it together. He managed a warm smile and said to Mr. Larson, “Then, thank you for your affection towards my granddaughter.”
Mr. Larson waved his hand, “I genuinely like Charlotte and hold her in high regard. She’s truly a promising young individual. She’ll definitely achieve great things in the future!”
Upon hearing this, everyone was even more astonished.
The usually strict Mr. Larson was praising Charlotte so generously–was this for real?
