Dinner took a long time. Their meeting time was approaching. Mark started the video conference early, asking for some documents. When Ashley joined, he saw her eating.“What are you eating? It looks delicious.” 

She turned the camera. Others joined, seeing the lavish, expensive food. They were stunned.“So much? Have you just started?” 

Ashley:“Almost finished.” 

You ate all this alone?” 

Ashley:“I didn’t order it.” 

Mark realized, “Sterling–your husband?” 

Ashley:“He had it sent up.” 

Mark:“He still has some conscience.” 

Ashley didn’t comment. She didn’t want to explain that he was only trying to appease Grandma. It was almost meeting time. She was full, so she stopped eating, had the dishes cleared, moved her laptop closer, and rejoined the meeting. 

They worked until 10 pm, with no sign of stopping. As Ashley focused on a new section, the door opened. Chase entered. Her camera could see the doorway. She quickly adjusted it. Because of the angle and height of the camera, the others in the video conference could only see that the person who had entered had a great physique and an elegant, composed bearing. Their no ordinary person, but their face was hidden. aura alone indicated they were
