Chapter 65: Life and Death
Karl stood alone.
He had seen it all but was unable to save her.
She must still be alive.
She wouldn’t be dead.
The tall and upright young man looked expressionless, and his pair of dark eyes were empty, but no one noticed the sudden trace of an emotion called sadness crossing the bottom of his eyes.
He turned and quietly left the scene amidst the chaos.
He would definitely find her.
He would find Charlotte.
No matter if it was life or death.
Soon ambulances and police cars arrived.
There was also a whole bunch of news reporters who had gotten wind of the situation.
After all, it was big news that a race car driver had fallen off a cliff on Red Peak Mountain!
A lot of media had arrived at the location to get first–hand information.
Many of the spectators were interviewed.
Known as the “Mecca of Racing,” Red Peak Mountain had never been livelier.
South Mountain, Greenside Garden.
Max had been dealing with work in his study.
Many of the core affairs of the Royal Sky Group were handled by him.
So, he wasn’t as lazy as he seemed.
By the time he was done, it was already eight o’clock in the evening.
Max put down the documents in his hands and raised his eyes slightly. His clear and handsome face was showing little expression.
But there was a trace of inexplicable emotion in his eyes.
Did the girl come back?
He also did not know why he was suddenly thinking about Charlotte…
Max left the study.
Outside, everything was as usual, nothing different.
Only Charlotte was missing.
“Where is madam?” he called a maid and asked with a light frown.
The maid immediately lowered her head, not daring to look at Max. “Madam hasn’t returned.”

Chapter 65: Life and Death
The mai, brow furrowed imperceptibly.
He stepped back into the study and called out to Lance,
“Mr. Foster, what are your orders?” According to the usual practice, Lance had not come to Greenside Garden during this time, and he did not know why his boss was in such a hurry to call him.
Come to think of it, it must be something very important.
“Charlotte hasn’t come home yet.” Max narrowed his eyes slightly and said such a sentence in a clear and cold tone.
Lance looked at Max strangely, a trace of surprise crossing his eyes.
Foster had asked him to come over urgently, but it was actually for a woman?
He thought that the daughter of the Bellerose family was nothing more than a dispensable wife for the young master, a decoration, and an accessory to the marriage contract.
Now it looked like his boss was really on to something.
“I’ll go investigate right away, Mr. Foster.” Lance bowed to Max before leaving the study at a fiery pace.
It didn’t take him long to reenter.
“Mr. Foster, I’ve already investigated. Madame went to the Red Peak Mountain tonight to race with a West Princeton University student.” Lance looked calm, but complex emotions crossed his eyes. “Then it seems that Madame’s car crashed down the cliffs of the mountains, and now it is still unknown if she is dead or alive…”
“Dead or alive?” Max’s eyes widened, and for a moment those cold, dark eyes surged with unfamiliar dark currents.
Charlotte was…
“Then why are you still standing here?” The man immediately calmed down the strange feeling in his heart, and a rare violent emotion flashed across his clear and fair face. “Go and find her.”
“I want to see the person if she is alive, and I want to see her body if she is dead.”
“Yes. Lance nodded his head, responding in an unusually respectful manner.
This was the first time he had seen the always cool and indifferent young master show such outward emotions.
