Chapter 11
Chapter 11
“It’s still the early stages of pregnancy. The fetus isn’t very stable, so you need to take care of your body and emotions,” the doctor said, looking at the test results and giving me advice.
I ignored the joy on Daniel Brown’s face and calmly spoke, “Do I need to be hospitalized for an abortion?”
Daniel Brown froze, immediately anxious, “Lily White! What are you talking about? No, the doctor is just making things up.”
The doctor glanced between Dandel Brown and me before turning to me and saying, “No need, you can just rest for a few days after the procedure. But it’s best to discuss it first and not act impulsively.”
hanked the doctor, and as soon as the doctor left, Daniel Brown rushed to my side, frowning and disapproving.
“Lily White, I understand that you’re emotional right now, but this is our child. How can you make such a joke?”
“It’s not a joke,” I said coldly, staring at him. “Daniel Brown, I want a divorce.”
“Why? Is it because of Anna Green? Lily White, you’re just overly suspicious. There’s nothing between me and her. I just thought she was a bit pitiful, so I helped her.”
Daniel Brown looked at me like I was a spoiled child throwing a tantrum.
“When you took Anna Green to see the stars last night, I found out I was pregnant at the hospital. The doctor told me I should have a family member come pick me up, but you didn’t come.”
Daniel Brown’s face turned pale, his lips trembling, unable to say a word.
My nose tingled, and I looked away, feeling a bit sad.
“I don’t want to be like my mom, always thinking about what’s going on between you two.”
Hysteria, insecurity filled my heart.
I asked myself, would firing Anna Green calm me down?
No, it wouldn’t
This insecurity came from Daniel Brown. His indifference to such matters and his lack of clarity.
He still thought I was overreacting
Even if Anna Green left, I would still live in doubt and distrust
Daniel Brown, you never gave me a sense of security. You destroyed my trust in you. This has never been my problem.
