Chapter 7 

I dreamt of Daniel Brown 

Daniel Brown’s nose was bright red from the cold, and when he saw me, his eyes 

“Come on, hurry up and get in the car,” Daniel Brown urged me. 

I couldn’t help but smile, feeling a little heartache. 

“Why didn’t you call me? If it didn’t work, you could have waited in the company lobby.” 

oway, no way. That would spoil the surprise. Plus, it would have taken too long, and I was afraid I would fall asleep in the lobby.” 

Daniel Brown was in a hurry to take me to see the fireworks at midnight. 

“Happy New Year! Our Lily will always be happy!” 

I smiled and celebrated the New Year with the crowd, but what made me happiest was that Daniel Brown was by my side. 

I quietly made a wish in my heart. 

I hope that Daniel Brown and I can be together for a long time. 

But then, I caught a glimpse of Anna Green’s face. She was smiling and looking at Daniel Brown beside me, 

I looked up, and Daniel Brown’s eyes were only on her. 

I woke up with a start from the dream, breathing heavily. I looked beside me, and the bed was empty 

Daniel Brown hadn’t come back.
