Alpha’s Redemption The Rise of the Rejected Luna 3

Chapter

The moment I opened my mouth, Silas shoved me hard onto the couch

The sudden loss of balance made the room spin, a wave of nausea crashing over me. I clutched the edge of the couch, heaving, as bile clawed its way up my throat

Meanwhile, Silas wrapped his arms protectively around Lena, his glare slicing through me like a blade

Rowena, shut up. You make me sick,he spat

Apologize to Lena right now, or don’t expect me to come home again!”

It took me a moment to steady my breathing. My eyes, bloodshot from keeping my head down, lifted slowly to meet his. I didn’t apologize. Instead, a bitter laugh escaped my lips

Apologize? Unlike her, I don’t need to cling to a man to survive. And youyou don’t deserve to speak our daughtersnames. Mention them again, and I swear I’ll hit you both.”

Silas’s face darkened, a sneer twisting his lips

So, Lena was right,he said, voice dripping with scorn. You’ve been using the girlsillness to manipulate me all along.”

Finally, your true colors show. Did you ever really care about our daughtershealth? His gaze locked on mine, searching for something, anything, to confirm his twisted assumptions

But there was nothing for him to find. He believed Lena’s lies. Truly believed them

As I stood there, fury etched on my face, he shot back, defending her coldly

Do you even know how much Lena sacrificed for our girls? She exhausted herself running everywhere, searching for the best doctors until her feet bled. And you? You’ve done nothing but complain and live an easy life.”

A sharp laugh broke from me, one that even I didn’t recognize

Is that so? Then I suppose those doctors all happen to enjoy long, romantic beach walks at sunrise?”

He lunged at me, but Lena clutched his arm, feigning weakness to hold him back. Forced to stop, he could only glare at me, his frustration mounting

Rowena, this is my final warning! Don’t you dare accuse Lena again! His voice thundered, demanding obedience

I glared back, a cold determination settling over me

To be honest,he snarled, our daughters would’ve been better off dead than with a mother like you!”

The words hit me like a slap, igniting a rage so fierce I barely recognized myself. My gaze flickered around the room, landing on the glass ashtray on the coffee table. Without hesitation, I seized it and hurled it at his head

Shut up, Silas! Keep my daughtersnames out of your mouth!”

The ashtray shattered on impact, fragments scattering across the floor. A thin trail of blood began trickling from a gash on Silas’s forehead, his expression twisting into something dark and monstrous. His cigarette, still burning, nearly singed his hair

I stood my ground, fearlessly meeting his gaze, my fury unwavering

After a tense moment, he lunged forward, grabbing the collar of my shirt, his knuckles turning white with the force of his grip

Apologize, Rowena!he snarled, teeth clenched, his voice shaking with barely contained rage

My hands clenched around his wrists, but I refused to look away

Divorce me,I said, my voice as steady as stone. You owe our daughters everything, and I’ll make sure you pay every last debt. We’re finished, Silas. There’s nothing left to say.”
