The black, unmarked business vehicle that kidnapped Mary, with Cherise closely following behind, had been driving for a full hour.
They’d been winding around the mountain roads non–stop, showing the vehicle’s driver was familiar with this area.

This mountain road had steep cliffs on the right and falling rocks on the left. It was too narrow, barely fitting the business vehicle, so maneuvering the motorcycle left or right was not realistic.

Cherise thought for a moment and then suddenly stopped the motorcycle.

She turned sideways, blocking its path.
