Chapter 10
As for me, I was done being the good Samaritan. I didn’t feel the need to offer any mare reminders. I headed straight for a restaurant to eat. After the meal I felt aimless. With so much money, I had planned to buy some new clothes, but I didn’t need anything small. So, after lunch, I decided to wat the best villa district in the city. I thought I’d treat myself to a new house, change my life, and enjoy a little taste of luxury.
But as soon as I arrived at the villa sales office. I found James, Yuri, and Linda were already there.
I was a bit shocked. Although they had mentioned earlier that they were going to look at the villas, I didn’t expect them to come right after hearing about their death sentence. Could a villa be more important than life itself?

Yuri stood up suddenly, shielding James. “What are you doing here?”
Linda added, “We know exactly what’s going on with James’s health. It’s none of your business. Don’t think that by following us around and pretending to care, you’ll get him to remarry you. It’s not going to happen.”
“If you really cared, you should’ve told him about the results as soon as you got them, not wait until after the
divorce to bring it up!”
I smiled. “First of all, I’m here to look at houses, just like you. Second, the date on the test results is clear–it was released yesterday. I intended to tell you all yesterday after work, but did you give me a chance?”
As soon as I finished speaking, the three of them burst into laughter. The sales staff at the villa office looked around nervously, wondering if they were witnessing some kind of scandalous joke.
