They ate and talked. For some reason, Sera didn’t feel lonely anymore.

Unexpectedly, she had a heart to heart talk with him, and cried. Liam listened,

holding her hand; she didn’t refuse.

Late into the night, she fell asleep on his shoulder. He carried her to her 

room. Before turning off the lights, he wiped away her tears. As he turned to 

leave, she grabbed his hand.

“Don’t go…”

He softened, holding her hand. “I’m here.”

Sunlight streamed in. Sera opened her eyes, realizing she was in Liam’s arms.

It was the first time she had seen his sleeping face. She traced his face and then

he opened his eyes and tucked her hair behind her ear.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning.”

Their relationship deepened, without words. He started to share his

schedule with her.

“You’re going back to the States?” Sera was surprised. Most of Liam’s

business was in Italy, his US holdings were minimal. Even His parents had

settled in Italy.

Liam poured her milk, smiling.“Landry Corp’s new CEO is marrying a

relative of my mother. I have to attend their wedding.” He paused.“And help you

get revenge.”

Sera tightened her grip on the cup. Liam was the first one who offered to

avenge her. She didn’t really care about Jax anymore. Liam held her hand. “Sera,

you’re important to me. I want those who hurt you to pay.”
