Chapter 2
Loretta’s caused Bruno’s expression to shift several times,
A few seconds later, he looked at her seriously and said, “Loretta his kind of joke is not funny at all.”
Loretta sneered and turned to leave. This was Patrick’s birthday party, and she didn’t intend to cause a bigger scene for the Pearson family. “I never joke.”
Seeing her reaction, Brumo panicked and instinctively reached out to grab her wrist, trying to stop her from leaving.
However, Loretta was faster. She turned her body and splashed the wine in her glass directly onto his face and suit.
This immediately caught the attention of everyone around them Many began whispering and pointing at them.
“What’s going on? Did Loretta and Bruno just have a fight?”
“What
did Bruno do to make Loretta throw wine at him?”
“Did Bruno cheat on her, and she found our?”
“Even if that’s the case, she shouldn’t be throwing wine at him at an event like this!”
Bruno stood frozen in place, completely shocked. Never did he agine Loretta would throw wine at him in front of everyone. Hearing the crowd’s murmurs, he felt both humiliated and stunned.
In just a few seconds, he ran through countless possibilities in his mind–why Loretta had said those things, why she threw
the wine.
He wondered if she had found out about his upcoming plans, but dismissed the thought. Only Amy knew what he was planning to do, and there was no way Amy would betray him.
With that thought, he calmed down, wiped the wine from his face, and looked at Loretta with a resigned yet indulgent expression. “Loretta, I don’t know what I did to make you this angry, but if you’re upset, it must be my fault. Are you feeling better now?”
Bruno’s concession immediately shifted the attention of the onlookers to Loretta, Many started to think that she had overreacted, treating her boyfriend so harshly at Patrick’s birthday party.
Loretta sneered internally. In her past life, she had known Brung was exceptionally good at enduring situations like this. Without solid evidence, he would always manage to turn the narrative against her, making others criticize her instead.
But not this time. As long as they remained in a relationship, she felt disgusted.
Therefore, she calmly said, “I already told you I don’t like you anymore. I want to break up. Since you insist on clinging to me, I had no choice but to throw wine at you to wake you up.
Ignoring Bruno’s devastated and incredulous expression, she turned to the Pearsons, who had come over to see what was happening. “Mr. Pearson, I’m sorry for spoiling the mood. I’ll go take a breath of fresh air in the garden. Please, everyone, keep going.”
With that, she walked toward the garden, and as she did, the crowd parted to make way for her.
Once she left, the guests turned their attention back to Bruno–some with sympathy, others feeling secondhand embarrassment for him.
At that moment, Olly stepped in to diffuse the situation. “Just lovers‘ quarrel, guys. Let’s not crowd around. Keep drinking keep enjoying yourselves.”

Chapter 2
After saying that, he approached Bruno, glancing at the wine stains on his face and suit. He couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for him. “You should go clean up. Whatever misunderstanding this is, just talk it out and clear things up
Brimo looked briefly toward the garden, a flash of anxiety in his eyes, but then he nodded and headed toward the restroom.
As soon as both of them left, the younger crowd broke into excited whispers.
“Wow! I didn’t know Loretta had such a wild side. She really went all out on Bruno!”
“If I were Bruno, I’d die of embarrassment. To be treated like that by his own girlfriend is beyond humiliating.”

“There’s nothing he can do. The Young family is no match for the Broderick family. Bruno’s not stupid–if Loretta is willful, he’ll put up with it”
“That’s why you shouldn’t date a girl whose family is better off than yours.”
“Nonsense! If someone like Loretta liked me, she could throw wine at me every day, and I wouldn’t care!”
After Loretta walked into the garden, she stopped at a secluded spot.
Sunlight filtered through the glass roof, casting a soft glow on her delicate face, where even the fine downy hair could be seen, making her radiance almost impossible to ignore.
It was time for her to start gathering evidence of Bruno and Amy’s affair. She was determined to make them experience the pain she had suffered in her previous life.
A sudden sound brought Loretta back to reality. She turned and saw Malcolm standing there, staring at her. A smile tugged. at her lips..
Malcolm looked at Loretta carelessly and mocked. “Your taste is as terrible as ever.”
Loretta looked at the tall, striking figure of Malcolm, remembering how he had gone mad with vengeance for her in the past life. Without hesitation, she stepped toward him.
Malcolm’s expression remained impassive as he watched her approach, but his grip on his wine glass tightened.
Once she stood in front of him, Loretta realized he was a full hear taller than her. His handsome face held a fierce intensity, as if he might devour her at any moment.
But Loretta wasn’t afraid. She reached out and grabbed his tie, pilling him toward her as his body stiffened in surprise.
Their eyes locked. Seeing the flicker of confusion deep within his eyes, she flashed a sweet smile. “Malcolm, I want to be your girlfriend. Yes or no?” she said sofily.
The faint fragrance from her body seemed like poison, creeping through his senses, leaving him frozen and disoriented.
Malcolm remained in the position she had pulled him into, leaning slightly forward, his tie still in her grasp. It took him several seconds to process what had just happened.
But once he did, a wave of anger surged through him, convinced that Loretta was toying with him.
He tried to suppress the fury boiling inside him, though his cars had turned bright red. His fists clenched as he finally snarled at her through gritted teeth, “Loretta, are you out of your mind?”
With that, he roughly pushed her hand away and stormed off. The coldness radiating from him was so intense that it was as though no one could approach him.

After a while, just as Loretta was about to leave, Bruno found her and blocked her path.
“Loretta, even a criminal deserves to know what he’s being executed for. No matter why you’re breaking up with me, please tell me what I did wrong. Can you?” he asked,
Bruno’s tone was humble, his voice hoarse, as if he was on the verge of tears. To any outsider, it would seem like he was deeply in love with her.
But Loretta only felt disgust. It turned out Bruno was quite the actor, which explained why he had fooled everyone in her previous life.
She wasn’t in a rush to destroy him today, not until she had all the evidence. However, she wasn’t going to let him off easily either.
With this in mind, Loretta crossed her arms, her beautiful face cold and emotionless. “Bruno, are you playing dumb or are you truly clueless‘ We’ve known each other for years, and I’ve been your girlfriend for more than half a year. During that time. I’ve never let you touch me. Do you really not know why?”
Bruno’s face instantly turned pale.
Loretta continued, her voice detached. “I’m a normal woman. The fact that I never let you touch me means I don’t like you.”
That’s impossible!” Bruno’s eyes reddened. “If you didn’t like me, why would you agree to be my girlfriend?”
“Because Loretta glanced briefly at the shadow moving behind a large potted plant nearby, then cruelly smiled. “My father wanted me to have a boyfriend, and since you saved me during college, I chose you. But now I realize I never actually liked
you.
With that, she brushed past him, walking away without looking back.
Once Loretta was out of sight, Bruno could no longer keep his composure. He slammed his fist against the wall, then leaned his head against it, a look of madness flashing in his eyes.
He convinced himself that Loretta got tired of him because he always acted like a gentleman. So, he decided to act tough and make Loretta his woman.
