Chapter 317
Dennis and Rella were so happy to see Cherise that they didn’t notice Morris standing behind her.
Morris stepped forward gently and took Cherise’s hand. “Hello, Dennis and Bella I’m Morris, Cherise’s boyfriend. Its a pleasure to meet you both!”
Caught off guard by this revelation, Dennis and Bella were surprised.
However, the sight of the handsome young man in front of thein was hard to ignore. He had a certain charm that was easy to like.
Bella quickly recovered. “Oh my, this young man is exceptionally handsome–like someone from a painting Not a flaw in sight! Isn’t that right, Dennis? Looks like Ms. Leach already has a boyfriend!”
As she spoke, Bella gave Dennis a playful nudge.
Startled by her push, Dennis took a moment to collect his thoughts. “Goodness, this is a shock? Ms. Leach brought her boyfriend home!”
While he was happy for Cherise, a small sense of concern lingered. They hadn’t been around much lately, so they didn’t know this young man well.
Still, from his appearance, he seemed like a good match.
Cherise felt a bit shy at that moment.
Morris, sensing Dennis’s unease, smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry, Dennis. I’m a man of integrity. I’ll treat Cherise well.”
Marlon stepped forward and added, “Morris is a great guy–we’ve all seen that!”
Hearing Marlon’s approval, Dennis felt a bit better. “Well, if Marlon says so, then he must be trustworthy. I have to admit, I like him too.”
Cherise then wrapped her arm around Bella’s. “You don’t have to worry. He treats me very kindly! Everyone must be hungry by now–let’s head inside!”
Her words reminded Dennis to start preparing the meal. “Today is a happy day. Everyone, come in and make yourselves comfortable. Bella and I will cook for you.”
Being a friendly group, the rest of them–aside from Marlon and Trent, who took Zander back to their place in Saphira to drop off luggage–followed Cherise inside.
Truman and Leo, as they entered, could hardly sit still, admiring the beautiful decor of the house.
“Wow, this is Cherise’s home. The interior design here is better than any estate in Betrico,” Truman said, impressed.
Xenia, lounging in a chair, scoffed. “Well, let’s not forget whose home it is. Cherise is the famous architectural designer, Duskson. It’s not good to act like you’ve never seen anything so impressive!
“We wouldn’t want Dennis and Bella to think Morris associates with shallow people. Or else, how could they trust him with Cherise?”
“Wise words,” Truman and Leo said in unison.
They took a seat neatly in a row, acknowledging Xenia’s point, and waited quietly for the meal.
Dennis and Bella busily worked in the kitchen while Cherise led Morris to a special spot on the mountainside.

Chapter 317
Holding a bouquet of daisies, Cherise was calm and serene.
Morris walked beside her. Before them stood row after row of immaculate gravestones.
When they reached the highest gravestone, Cherise stopped.
The stone was spotless, clearly well cared for, with no weeds in sight.
“We’re here. This is my grandmother’s resting place,” Cherise sai softly to Morris.
Morris responded gently, “Hey, grandma.“.
Cherise took the flowers from his hands and carefully placed them in front of the gravestone.
Looking at the photo on the stone, she smiled warmly. “Grandma, I’m back to see you. I’ve brought your favorite wine, freshly brewed by Bella. Please, have a taste.”
With that, she poured a little wine onto the ground in front of the gravestone.
Afterward, she asked softly, “How have you been in the other world?”
She sat quietly for a moment, gently touching the smiling face in the photo.
Morris watched that photo with a quiet respect, standing beside her.
“Cherise, won’t you introduce me to grandma?” he asked gently.
Cherise smiled softly. “Grandma, I’ve found a boyfriend. This gentleman beside me is Morris. I hope you’ll like him.” “She will definitely like me. Elders always favor my type,” Morris added playfully before Cherise could finish.
Cherise nodded in agreement, speaking to the likeness of her grandmother, “Grandma, I thought no one could love me as deeply as you did after you left. But since meeting him, I feel a new kind of happiness.
“He treats me with such care and tenderness. As long as he stays true to me, I believe our lives together will be wonderful.”
She glanced at Morris.
Morris smiled. “Rest assured, grandma. I will devote my life to loving and cherishing her.”
The moment was interrupted by Bella calling them to dinner.
Morris took Cherise’s hand as they walked down the hill, leaving behind a bouquet of fresh daisies, a pristine gravestone, and the lasting image of a warm smile on the memorial.
