“WAIT,” Calix raised his hand, signaling to the warriors to stop in their tracks. He then approached Marga, gazing into her tear–stained face. She shook her head in fear, knowing what was coming next–another rejection, just like the one her father had given her mother a few moments ago.
“No, you can’t reject me… I am pregnant,”
Despite her pleading, Calix remained cold and heartless as he rejected her, showing no concern for her or the unborn child. As they both felt the pain of their bond being severed and torn apart, Marga broke down in tears before losing consciousness, causing Luna Emilia to weep. She begged her husband to help their daughter, but Alpha Robert showed no remorse or care, simply announcing that the party would be ending and apologizing for the chaos it had caused.
As Luna Emilia and Marga were dragged out of the hall, the guests started to leave one by one. The room that had been filled with noise and chatter became eerily quiet. Calix excused himself and went in search of his brother, leaving behind the remaining members of the Crescent pack, Serena, Alpha Perez, Alpha Robert, and Mathias. The silence continued for a few moments until finally, the Alpha Robert broke it.
“I’m sorry,” He glanced at Serena and noticed her finger twitch slightly as she saw tears glistening in his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he walked towards her, causing gasps to escape from everyone in the room, especially when the proud Alpha suddenly knelt down in front of her daughter. “I am sorry for everything. I know it’s too late to make up for my mistakes, but I hope you can find it in your heart to give me the chance to be a father to you.”
“It wasn’t because of your marriage to Alpha Perez that I wanted to make things right. I genuinely wanted to apologize for all the mistakes I made as a father. Unfortunately, it took me too long to realize how poorly I had treated you. My love for your mother and our bond had clouded my judgment.” He struggled to speak through the tears streaming down his face, unable to hide the overwhelming guilt and sorrow that consumed him every minute.
Serena’s heart ached as she watched her father break down before her, revealing a side of him she had never seen before.
Although he had been distant and unkind, he never resorted to physical harm against her. Despite being heavily influenced by Luna Emilia’s actions, Serena couldn’t help but wonder if she could forgive him. He was also a victim in this situation, though that didn’t excuse his behavior.
After briefly glancing at Alpha Perez, Serena realized she had nothing to lose by giving her father a chance to redeem himself. She took a deep breath and nodded before speaking in agreement.
“All right, stand up… Dad, I forgave you.” Serena looked up at her father, tears streaming down her cheeks, and offered her trembling hand. Alpha Robert took hold of it, his grip firm yet gentle, and they shared a moment of understanding.
In that embrace, he let out sobs that shook his body, apologizing endlessly for the pain he had caused. Serena then held him tight, silently forgiving him with a nod, each knowing the long road ahead to heal their broken bond as father and daughter. But in that moment, they were determined to try and bridge the gap between them, hoping to find a way back to each other’s hearts.
After a brief moment, he gently let go of her and stepped back, his chest heaving as he wiped away his tears and took deep breaths. The emotional reconciliation between father and daughter moved the servants and other important members of the Crescent pack who watched from a distance. Serena’s eyes then landed on her beloved Nanny Annie, who beamed at her with pride for making amends with her father instead of holding grudges forever,
“The event tonight must have been too much for you. Why don’t you stay here tonight, and we can have breakfast together tomorrow?” Alpha Robert suggested as he regained his composure, causing Serena to glance at her husband for his opinion. Alpha Perez gave a slight nod, and she smiled, turning back to her father with a nod of her own.
“That sounds good,” she replied, and with that… The long and eventful night finally came to a close. Alpha Robert then asked Annie to show his daughter and son–in–law to the guestroom in the main house. On their way there, Serena took the opportunity to introduce her nanny and husband to each other
Meanwhile, Alpha Robert strolled through the garden, enjoying the cool night breeze that helped clear his mind. This

birthday was one he would never forget, as he grappled with the realization that he had been deceived for years. It was hard to believe that Marga wasn’t truly his daughter, and yet he had spent half of his life searching for her and trying to make up lost time once she was found.
As the memory flooded back to him, tears threatened to spill from his eyes, but he held them back when he sensed someone approaching from behind.
There, Mathias was making his way towards him, wearing a sympathetic expression on his face as if he wanted to convey his remorse for the unfortunate outcome of events.
“I’m sorry,” he said, feeling the need to apologize, knowing that he was also at fault in this situation. He regretted sleeping with Emilia that night. No matter how much she loved Emilia, he shouldn’t have given in to her request. “You can punish me, too. If that would alleviate some of your anger for the betrayal you experienced, I am willing to accept any punishment you deem necessary.”
“No, it’s okay. The fact that you came forward to tell the truth was more than enough for me.” Alpha Robert patted his shoulder, “But are you fine? Marga and Emilia were currently suffering,”
“Well, I can’t help but feel guilty about it, but every action has consequences, doesn’t it?” Mathias sighed and looked up at the night sky, “I heard about what Marga did to your daughter, and I just can’t stand for that. It’s clear that her and Emilia deserve consequences for their shameless actions.”
“Right,” Alpha Robert agreed before taking a deep sigh, “Should we have a drink? I think we both needed it.”
Mathias smiled and nodded in agreement, unable to believe his relationship to Emilia’s husband would turn out like this. But he wasn’t complaining as they were both victim of Emilia’s greediness and selfishness.
