The shock of her audacity aside, how dare she raise her voice before me? I was going to shoot back at her when Leo’s frosty tone halted me in my tracks, he asked Melody to leave.
“Go and sit somewhere else. Your perfume is giving me a headache.”
Melody yelled “Why?” sharply, attracting everyone’s attention.
Please, I don’t want to be embarrassed with her.

teacher on the podium asked us to keep quiet. Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Melody blushed, stared at me fiercely, and moved reluctantly to an empty seat in the back
row.
Then the teacher announced the sports schedule for kids, and I ignored this disturbance, noting the timetable for ice hockey practice.

Jane turned around, lit up with excitement, “I must be the captain of the ice hockey team!”
I touched her hair affectionately, and Leo interjected, “You are extremely talented, and I believe in you.” It’s obvious that he was trying to please Jane.
Jane hesitated for a moment, snorted coldly and ignored Leo. Leo’s face softened with visible hurt..
I ignored him too. Hah, be depressed, man.
After setting the reminders in my calendar for the trials, I got up to use the restroom. My disturbed morning routine didn’t let me pay attention to my appearance. I needed to get fresh and touch up my makeup.
So, I asked Jane to stay in her seat, “Don’t worry. Mommy is going to the restroom.”
Jane nodded and got busy with Zoe, discussing their ice hockey schedule. I was at ease while going outside. A teacher guided me to the restroom, and I went there, taking a moment away from all the issues. However, it was just my wishful thinking.

As I turned on the tap to wash my hands, Melody entered the lavatory and locked its door. Her furious tone reverberated in the surroundings as she shouted at me.
“Why are you trying to steal my husband from me, MILF?”

Melody’s audacity to slut–shame blew my head away, but she was out of control. She didn’t. let me defend myself and yelled hysterically.
“You are a homewrecker bitch, don’t take me as blind. I can see your utmost efforts to be
noticed by Leo.”
Her imaginary story fairly amused me, as I was on a mission to make their lives hell. And all she could see was my non–existent efforts.
“How dare you this truly home wrecker say such a thing? And, don’t be silly, no one is interested in your froggy partner.”
“You damn slut! Answer me! What are your intentions about my husband? I am warning you…” Melody approached me step by step and even tried to strangle me.
“Melody you are so much miserable, if you are into trash, fine, it’s your choice. But don’t assume everyone else is.”
My accurate response pushed Melody’s right button as she crossed all the limits of decency, raising her hand at me.
“And second, have you forgotten what you did to me? I can sue you for intentional injury and put you in jail at any time. Of course, I don’t mind letting you experience the same hurt that I have suffered.”
Melody’s face paled for a moment, but then she let out a loud, mocking laugh. “But you have no evidence, do you?”
“That’s a fair point!” I thought. But how could she be so naive, believing there was nothing I could do to bring her down?
It took me a moment to pin her against the wall. The flares of anger enveloped my entire existence, clenching my stomach with the force of my self–restraint.

My heated glare riveted Melody to her spot as I warned her with the authority of a person. who wasn’t to be crossed.
“Don’t

Melody looked genuinely scared of me this time. She remained frozen in shock, and didn’t. even try to move when I let her go. Raising my brow at her, I mouthed her ‘watch out and grabbed my bag.
Suddenly, a loud thud diverted my attention as the door of the restroom swung open, revealing Leo’s tall figure. His dark expressions failed to scare me, so I turned around and spoke casually.
“Miss Melody, please be more careful next time. Don’t bump into the walls again.”
Completely ignoring the six–feet tall figure in my way, I advised Melody and walked past Leo, but he grasped my wrist from behind.
His worried tone flipped my heart in my chest as he informed me.
“Jane and Zoe are missing!”
